6 years ago Community Vets first opened it’s doors. There have been a couple of changes over the years which has led us to the incredible family that we have become. This team makes it a pleasure to come to work, with people we love, doing a job we love, with patients we love.
Thank you for trusting us with your beloved pets.

We have received this notification from the council regarding Braeside Park. If walking your dog in the park during this time, please keep them on leads.

Re: Rabbit Control Program - April/May 2024, Braeside Park
Parks Victoria is committed to protecting and enhancing the natural values of parks and reserves across the state. An integral component of conservation management is the control of introduced plant and animal species such as rabbits and blackberries, which can impact on these values.
As part of an ongoing strategy, notice is hereby given that Parks Victoria will be conducting a rabbit control program from 15th April- 24th May 2024 on land managed by Parks Victoria which forms part of the Braeside Park.
The affected land includes any properties managed by Parks Victoria at Braeside Park. Carrot baits containing the POISON 'Pindone' will be used.
Notices will be displayed at entrance points to land subjected to control programs. This baiting procedure involves minimal risk to non-target species. Nearby residents have been advised to keep household pets restrained or out of the area at all times as per Park Regulations, and that ingestion of poisoned carrot baits or rabbit carcasses should be treated by a vet with the antidote Vitamin K1 (Phlomenadione).

If your furbaby is on regular medication, it’s time to make sure you have enough to get them through to the new year. If you’re going to run out, give us a call this week in case they’re due for their 6 monthly medications review.
