Have you thought about your next groom?
Here's my January availability
From 1st-12th: FULLY BOOKED
Week of the 13th: 3-4 spots available
Week of the 20th: CLOSED
Week of the 27th: 8-9 spots available
If you can set up a regular schedule, I highly recommend it to avoid disappointment. Here's my recommendations:
Short haired breeds (include double coats and wired haired): baths every 3-4 weeks
Long haired clipped short or long: rotate between bath/bath and tidy at 4 weeks and full groom next 4 weeks
Long/Thick double coated breeds: De-shed (with or without tidy) every 4-8 weeks
Full length show coats: every 2-4 weeks.
Why come every 3-4 weeks?
The skin cycle of your dog is 21 days. To promote good skin and coat condition, we need to return nutrients back into the new skin as it emerges. Double coated breeds will benefit from removing the loose dead undercoat and allow the fur to work as intended as a protective barrier and maintaining body temperature. Wired haired dogs need their hairs manually stripped to avoid them clogging the pores and inhibiting the growth of new hairs, just like the bushes would do for them in the outdoors.
Long haired breeds need help keeping the length moisturised as their natural sebum struggles to reach the ends with proper regular brushing with the correct tools.
With the right products, the correct grooming for your breed and an educated groomer, your pets skin and coat should reach optimal condition, providing comfort and protection for your pet. If you'd like to learn what is recommended for your breed, don't hesitate to ask. Your pets health is my top priority.
