🐾💓 Last night we welcomed five pups to the All 4 Paws Dog Rescue family. Ella, a 5 year old Dachshund was rescued recently and then we realised she was pregnant. Mama and bubs are doing well. 🥰 Both Ella and the pups will be available for adoption but not until the pups are 8-10 weeks of age and have been vet worked. We will not be taking any expressions of interest until they are ready for adoption but please follow our stories for updates on their progress. #rescuepuppy

🐾 Foster carer still needed for Eadie, a 1 year old boisterous Heeler 🐾 This gorgeous girl is a lively girl that needs a person / family that is willing to work with her high energy levels. We are looking for a Foster Carer who doesn’t have any dogs of their own. If you are a family considering this, please note no kids under 5 as she does tend to get excited and may knock a small child over. She does need someone / a family who is willing to be firm with her, set boundaries and provide discipline and daily exercise and activity. We will be here to help a new foster carer through the process. We provide everything required to look after your foster dog. Bedding, food, treats, flea & worm treatment, shampoo, brushes, leads, collars, vet bills - we pay for it all. You provide the home and the love / guidance that your dog needs. You will be required to take your foster dog to one of our approved vets for any required vet work (we pay for the vet bills) and to also chat with potential owners of your dog (we will help you with your first few dogs). 🐾 Update on Romeo. 🐕 Romeo is a one year old toy Poodle. He is now four weeks post femur removal surgery. He has been having weekly Physio & Hydrotherapy sessions and is progressing well. Thank you to Dr Phil for coming to Yarraville Vet Clinic and taking the delicate ultrasound on our recently rescued dog Stella. We think she's a ridgeback x. She’s roughly around day 58, so not long to go now (just a few days to go). We couldn't tell exactly how many puppies because they're all on top of each other but there's at least 6.. We think it's only fitting that they be in the commercial seeing they are named after the Brat Pack which were movie stars right?!! 😝 Thank you Scratch Pet Food for a great day! He’s fully toilet-trained and great with commands, but he does need to be the only dog in the house. He can get boisterous and a bit nippy when excited, so he’s best in a home without small children. With some patience and regular walks, he’ll make a fantastic companion. 🐾💞 An update on Romeo post surgery. You may remember that we posted about Romeo, a sweet 14 month Toy Poodle last week. He had surgery last week to remove the tip of his femur. He is now in the recovery stage. As well as having to rest most of the day, our Vets recommeded that he have weekly Physiotherapy for six weeks. Yesterday his carer took him for his Physiotherapy session and see for yourself, how well he did, although he was pretty stuffed afterwards. 😝 We absolutely do our best to look after the dogs in our care but in some cases, like that with Romeo (& Brooklyn - another dog that has had surgery recently), it comes at a big financial cost. Donations are needed to help with the financial burden so that we can continue caring for them and others. So far our vet bills for these two surgeries alone have amounted to almost $10,000.
