Shyla has been in care for around 5 months.
She adores other dogs
Loves car rides
Is a water nymph
Loves lazing on the humans bed
Will come for treats
Walks well on a lead
Will even have a little game licking your fingers (or toes)

BUT

Is sadly still wary of people
Stiffens at human touch
Would prefer not to be petted
Stress wee’s when cornered 😞

This little girl grows in confidence everyday but we would like to see that happen in her forever home. The sooner she finds the right human we believe the sooner she will blossom and truly have the “dogs life” she deserves

We have an urgent need for more foster carers. The requests come daily

We have dogs ranging from
7x8 week old puppies and their 9 month old mum an kelpie x blue heeler,

2x 6 month old kelpies male & female,

a 3 year old black and tan kelpie

a 4 female year old kelpie and a

18 month old male Koolie x

Please don’t think you can’t… think you can.

Saying yes even for a short period of time helps us get them to safety, get them to vets and of course find homes

Vale Lola
Tonight we’d like to honour a beautiful, cheeky, stubborn and lovable soul Lola.
Lola came from one of the very first litter of puppies, rescued by Farmdogz Rescue over 12years ago, when we were first starting out. Lola’s mum Louise was kind enough to write the most heartfelt words and we’d like to share those with you now.
See you over the rainbow bridge gorgeous girl, until we meet again. 💜❤️

“ It breaks my heart all over again to sit here writing about the loss of my baby girl but here we are. Lola came to us from Farmdogz 12 years ago as a feisty, long-legged slip of a thing. We sold the idea of a second dog to my husband as a cross-over dog when our other dog, Larry, started having seizures. We won, Lola came to live with us and Larry lived on for at least another 6 years. Lola was never a crossover dog. She was a dog in a million. She loved with all of her heart - which annoyed some people and thrilled others. I was in the latter camp. She loved balls, frisbees, sheep and sticks and nothing, not even the mouth cancer that finally stole her from me would deter her from a game. She is so hard to describe. She has been my constant companion for 12 years. She has kept me company while I worked and watched over me when I have been sick and she wanted to be near me right to the end. As I was lying with her on the floor at the vet cuddling and kissing her as she slipped away, I realised I would never be able to quantify the love she gave and joy she brought to me. Vale Lola. Your passing has left a massive hole in my world but I would never ever wish to change anything in our life together.”

Quick update on our 7 pups born a few weeks ago in South Australia

Eyes are open, feeding well-they all fatty boombahs.

Mum Lexi is starting to settle around humans and in another month we will be looking for 3 foster carers to take on 2-3 puppies and someone willing to take on our sweet mumma.
