Happy New Year everyone. We're hard back at it at Champion and can't wait to see you all soon.

There are some changes to our meat supply - we've received a significant price increase and we can no longer produce diced products.

Our minces for beef and roo will be in stock from Thursday and we're going to try Veal mince too.

Our buy ten get one free offer remains in place.

We're sorry we need to pass on these price increases and we hope we can still look after your pet needs in future.

We are excited to now be stocking LifeWise dry food. This brand is Australian made and is an independently owned pet nutrition company. They position their range in the following way.

We wanted to assure all our customers that our products are not sourced from Mafra. That business has served its community for a long time and we hope they get on top of the situation as quickly as possible. Our hearts go out to pet owners affected.

We work hard to ensure our products are fresh and healthy. We only use human grade chicken and veggies and we cut, grade and process all our meat by hand. Please don't hesitate to ask one of our team if you have any questions.

We've run out of fresh product today so have closed early but we'll be back, stronger than ever next year to look after your pet's needs.

We'll have fresh chicken on Monday and beef and roo from Tuesday afternoon.

Merry Christmas everyone. Our Christmas trading hours are attached for 2020. Our suppliers are taking a break too so we may be short of beef and roo after Christmas until the new year. We will have fresh chicken daily though and will do our best to provide as many options as we can.

We want to let all our customers know we will continue to trade during stage 4 lockdown as an essential food and supplies retailer. Our team are taking extra steps to keep customers and themselves safe and we will continue to offer our fresh range for your pets.

If you have any concerns, we'll also offer the following, contactless service:

1. Phone your order through on 9725 0288 and pay for it over the phone.

2. Park in front of our store and call us on the same number to let us know you are there. One of our team will bring your order out to the boot of your car - no contact required.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. We wanted to apologise to our customers today who wanted to pay by EFT. Unfortunately our phone service provider reported a fault in their service and despite repeated attempts to get it rectified, it is still down over 20 hours later. It's frustrating I know but we'll do our best to help you with your pet needs any way we can.

Today I watched the attached video of Rodney Habib talking about why dogs don't live longer lives. It made a lot of sense and aligns almost exactly with our philosophy of "Pets Love Fresh" which we wear on the back of our shirts. If you have 15 minutes to watch this you will get some great tips to keep your pet healthy and happy for longer.

Well done Rodney for writing and giving this talk!
