We finally get to reveal our new name and logo! Introducing…
WESTSIDE WAG
WESTSIDE is a continuation of our service for the Western Suburbs of Melbourne, and WAG, we think a clever little anagram of 'Walks and Grooms'
As much as we absolutely love our old name and logo, we needed a bit of a freshen up to grow with our business and make it inclusive of both walks and grooming.
As dog walking and grooming are the two most important aspects of our business, we wanted a logo to reflect exactly that and make it easier for people to find us. The grooming side was a little hard to advertise and for clients to find with the older logo and with our new one, there is no need to second guess!
Hopefully you all love our new image as much as we do as we may have some more surprises in our hot little paws...🤫

I wanted to make a quick post about a pet peeve of mine (excuse the pun!) Which is dog owners who blame their dogs breed for their lack of training and poor behaviour 😠
This is copy and pasted from the AKC (American Kennel Club) website on their Boerboel section-
'Because of their protective instinct, the Boerboel should never be allowed off leash.'
I've also attached a video of Beesly at 10 months old in an off lead park. She decided to go the long way around the tree but came to me immediately after being asked.
It is seen all the time that owners will say "oh my dog bites because its a ___" or "if I let my dog off lead it will run away because its an ___", "my ____ can't be trained to do that! It goes against the breeds nature!".
Training is something that all dogs need no matter what their breed. It comes down to you as an owner to do your part and work with your dog. There isn't one way to train a dog and you may need to work at it a bit longer than others but that's okay! The journey is far from smooth.
