From the ashes, there are always signs of hope ❤️ The bravery and stoicism shown by the koalas and thousands of other animals at Mallacoota is inspiring.
Zoos Victoria vets are currently in East Gippsland at the request of the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning.
Our role is going to be most needed in the coming weeks and months once it is safe for the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning to enter the bushfire zones and we can begin to provide veterinary support and assessment.
The Bushfire Emergency Wildlife Fund is now accepting donations.
