We are now offering the option of using ‘gaponly’ when submitting your pets insurance claims. This will save on the amount you pay directly to the clinic. Watch this short video for more information #ccvc #gaponly #petinsurance
Microchips are a great way to get a lost pet back to their owner, but they only work if the contact details are correct!
We get a lot of pets dropped off to the clinic with incorrect information on the microchip register. This makes it very hard to reunite lost pets with their owners, with some pets having to be taken to the pound.
If you have recently adopted a pet, or changed any of your contact details, please contact the company your pet is registered with to make the appropriate changes. #ccvc #microchip #nomorelostpets #updateyourdetails
⚠️viewer discretion advised, graphic content ⚠️ Beware of the Bunnings trolley! Meet the adorable little 5 month old Spitz, Mika. Mika presented to us after a small tumble out of a trolley, after an outing to Bunnings. After taking some X-rays we discovered a fracture of her Tibia bone. She was booked in for surgery today with our visiting surgeon, Dr Anaban Ghosh. Dr Anaban placed a plate to stabilize the fracture. The procedure went very well, and we expect Mika to make a full recovery over the next couple of months 🐶🐾🦴 #ccvc #dranaban #fracturerepair #japanesespitz #bunningstrolleyaccident
Our team was very spoilt on Saturday night. We were treated to a delicious 9 course banquet feast at Koko Tepanyaki at Crown Casino, to celebrate the clinics 5 year anniversary. #ccvc #celebrating5years #japanesefeast #teambonding
We recently had the incredibly handsome ‘Wicket’ in for a routine dental as part of our dental month promotion. After running a blood screen to make sure he was able to cope with an anesthetic, Dr Sarah cleaned up his teeth to make them all white and polished again! There is still time to book in for our dental month discount. Give us a call on 5926 5028 #ccvc #dentalmonth #wickethecat
Little Lavender came to see us to today with an ‘Aural Hematoma’. This is where there is a blood vessel bleeding between the skin and cartilage layers in the ear pinnae. It is normally more common in dogs, but can happen to cats too. It is generally caused by trauma to the ear. In Lavenders case, she had an underlying ear infection which was causing her to scratch and shake, resulting in the burst blood vessel in her ear tip! After a general anesthetic, Dr Sarah drained the hematoma and placed a few stents to help stop it from re-forming. Hopefully after a few weeks she’ll be back to her normally self, without the need for her head collar! #ccvc #auralhematoma #lavenderthecat
The super handsome and super playful, Stormy, was in for his castration recently. It was such a pleasure having this beautiful boy spend the day with us #ccvc #catcastration #blackcat #stormy 🐈⬛
We are lucky enough to work with some amazing veterinary specialists, that visit our clinic, so our patients don't have to travel to a referral clinic. This little video is our way to show our appreciation and to simply say'thanks'. We value and respect all the assistance they have given us, our clients and our patients over the last 5 years. #ccv #travellingspecialists #diagnosticmedicine #surgery
This very lucky kookaburra was rescued by a local resident after being caught in a barbed wire fence. The lady that found him was able to free him from the fence, however there was still some wire imbedded in his wing. After taking some X-rays, to check for bone damage, Dr Sarah was able to remove the wire. We gave the area a good clean, and re-xrayed to confirm there were no pieces of wire left. Luckily all bones are intact! He’ll be going to spend some time with Leanne at Bush Babies Wildlife Shelter. Fingers crossed he’ll make a full recovery, but he’s got a long road ahead to regain full use of his wing #ccvc #wildlife #kookaburra #bushbabieswildlifeshelter #luckykookaburra
⚠️WARNING ⚠️viewer discretion advised. Mr Chevy spent the day with us today getting a rather large, multi-nodular lump removed. Due to its position, rapid growth and interesting presentation, Dr Candice decided it would be best to remove the lump and send it off to the pathology lab to be tested. Chevy recovered from his procedure like a superstar ⭐️ #ccvc #smallanimalsurgery #lumpremoval #chevythesuperstar
We are lucky enough to have Idexx blood machines in the clinic, that test both the hematology and biochemistry levels of our patients. This allows us to run blood tests on our patients in-house, with the results being ready to relay to the owner within 10-15 minutes. The usual turn around using an external pathologist is normally about 24-48 hours. Here’s a short video showing how quick and easy it is to use. This particular test is testing the phenobarbitone levels on one of our epileptic patients. #idexxbloodmachines #goldstandards #ccvc
How many lives does a ferret have? This little guy sure used up one of his! He was found on the road, suspected of being hit by a car. Dr Sarah patched him up, and we gave him some TLC overnight. He was picked up by a ferret carer from the Victorian Ferret society, where hopefully we can find his owners #cockatoocreekvet #ferretrescue #victorianferretsociety
