It's the weekend - lets head to the snow! If you’re wondering where you can take your dog to the snow in Australia, the ski resorts are generally a no-go zone because they’re located in national parks....

However - did you know that Dinner Plain near Mt Hotham in Victoria is very unique in that it’s the only place in Australia where you can stay with your dog - and let me tell you - there's lots of snow there at the moment!!

Your dog can have a frolic in the snow, roll in the snow, eat snow and make yellow snow! If your dog is a wanna-be powder hound, Dinner Plain is pretty good... check it out!

We're about to have our last long weekend for a while - so alongside our four legged best friends, many of us will be trying to get away to explore our beautiful state or country, but there are a few things that you need to consider before heading off such as:

• During your travels, you may not be able to access the medications, pest treatments or sun protection that you are used to using with your pets, so stock up before you go
• New environments bring new challenges for you and your pet. Be sure to do some research on additional products you may need to keep your pet safe & healthy e.g. tick control
• A sudden change in diet can cause tummy upsets, so perhaps before you go on tour, look at transitioning your pet to a raw freeze-dried diet that doesn’t take up valuable fridge space, freezer or cupboard space
