😔😔 We wish we could lock Annmaree in the cage so that she can’t leave us but unfortunately she is moving far away. Today is her last day with us!

As we come to a close of 2024 and the celebrations for 2025 begin, we wanted to share a few tips on how to keep your pet calm during the fireworks.

5 tips to help keep your pets calm this New years eve:
🎆Create a cozy hideaway
A comfy space with their favorite blanket or toy can help them feel secure.
🎆Keep them inside
Close windows and curtains to reduce noise. Cat owners, bring your cats inside before dusk.
🎆Mask the noise:
Play relaxing music or turn on the TV, but avoid channels broadcasting fireworks.
🎆Tire them out:
A play session or walk earlier in the day can help them feel more relaxed later.
🎆Use calming products
Treats, pheromone diffusers, or calming vests can make a difference.

🥪TIP 2 🥪: Don’t feed your pet any of the leftovers. Our food is often too spicy and fatty for our four-legged friends and can cause problems ranging from an upset stomach to pancreatitis. Any cooked bones are a no-no as they can splinter, and even small bones can cause tearing of the intestinal tract!

❣️ REMINDER ❣️With rising temperatures, it’s essential to keep our pets safe from heatstroke. Watch for signs like excessive panting, drooling, weakness, or disorientation.

Some Prevention Tips:

• Keep fresh water and shade available.
• Limit exercise during peak heat.
• Never leave pets in hot cars.

If you suspect heatstroke, contact your vet immediately!
