Dio is an almost 40kg 3 year old male American Bulldog who is owned by our Lead nurse Victoria. Dio came in to see our lead vet Dr Cam Wilson, as he has had sore paws. After swabbing and looking under the microscope, we found Dio has a nasty infection and will be on antibiotics. Dio also had his pre-anaesthetic blood tests done in preparation for his neuter coming up once his infection clears up. 🐶⭐️

Today we had the pleasure of a visit from Patrick, sporting his favourite winter knits 🧶 After a thorough examination, we found that Patrick is in good health, and knows how to stay warm, while keeping things cool 😎 😼

🐢🐢Happy World Sea Turtle day!🐢🐢 Our Vet Nurse Jessie recently spent some time volunteering up north on Gunggandji land and sea country with .
Run purely by passionate volunteers, Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre has saved over 600 turtles and has a success rate of ~ 85%. Some of her new turtle friends include Shelby, Raine, JJ, Wazza, Carlotta, Brishelle and Dennis. And Jessica the Freshwater Whipray. 🏝️☀️🌊🐢

Sadly we have made the decision to cancel our end of year BBQ this afternoon. We have some staff hit with pre Xmas bugs and while we are still fully staffed each day and open to help your pets we want to make sure we keep everyone safe.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience and late notice and look froward to seeing everyone socially soon.

2023 is the year of the rabbit (兔) in the Chinese zodiac.

To all our bunny owners out there - did you know that there is a new rabbit Calicivirus vaccine called Filavac? It is superior to the current Cylap vaccine in use and is now available at our Alphington clinic! It offers protection against both types of Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease Virus (Calicivirus) and only needs to be given yearly as opposed to 6 monthly.

Christmas holidays are among us so it’s that time of the year where we remind you to get your orders in for any medications or food your pet may need.

Many of our suppliers close over the Christmas break (as do we) which means it may be hard to get prescriptions filled for your babies during this time. Please call the clinic to arrange repeat medication or food orders for your pets in the next two weeks 😊🐾
