12 July - How to tell if your pet is in pain
Sometimes when a pet is in pain, you may see subtle changes in their behaviour. Cats may sleep more and resist jumping; dogs may be hesitant to go on a walk. Any changes in behaviour can be a sign of pain or other health issues, and we recommend taking your furry family to see our veterinary team.
For our older pets, it is important that they are kept warm and comfortable during the cooler months. If you notice them struggling to move, it could be age-related diseases such as arthritis. If you are wanting more information on ways to keep your pet warm or have a senior pet that you would like to discuss, contact us today.
There is plenty of evidence to support that cuddling your cat is beneficial for your health. Make sure you hug your feline today. If your cat isn't into hugs - perhaps a high 5 or a pat!

Did you know our pets can suffer from heatstroke too?
If you see them panting or drooling excessively, becoming restless or unstable on their feet, or the gums changing to a bluish-purple or bright red colour, it's important to call us immediately and cool them down on the way to see us. The quickest way to cool them down is by using a fan or placing a damp towel over me.
