“I have found a baby possum, what do I do?”

As the weather is warming up, more and more orphaned baby possums are being found.

Often found during the day after the mother has returned home to rest, these joeys have a very slim chance of being reunited in the daylight. Without their mothers, joeys need to get to an alternative heat source as soon as possible.

Taking a joey to a vet is the fastest way of getting it help, and increases its chance of survival.

If you are ever unsure, call wildlife Victoria or your closed vet clinic for advice.

INTRODUCING NURSE LISA…🩺

Lisa has been vet nursing since 2019! She is extremely passionate about animal welfare and also has a special interest in rehabilitation.

Lisa is always going above and beyond for our patients, especially those with special needs or senior and anxious pets. She will always ensure they are relaxed and comfortable during their time with us.

At home she has “Patches” the moodle, “”Lacey” the chicken and 2 quals named “Dougie” and “Bob”.

We are so lucky to have Lisa as apart of the team!
