Happy Heavenly Birthday my darling Stephanie. It seems so wrong that you have had more heavenly birthdays than those you shared with me and yet they are all as important to me as each other. They all remind of the total and absolute joy that I experienced when you were born, the love I felt and the sheer delight that you brought to my life. You were the most imperfect perfect person and you showed me to view life with a different filter, to embrace the unusual, to love the moment regardless of how frightening it may be and to be the absolute best version of yourself that you could be regardless of how others might view you. I couldn’t have wished for you to be anything more, couldn’t have imagined the undiluted, pure joy of being your mother. Whilst there have been terrifying troughs of despair since you left, they are absolutely outweighed by the essence of you, the purity of living life as your mother and knowing that one day, some day we will be together again. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
