We purchase as a group and are up to 30% cheaper t

han online supermarkets. It’s a Smart co-op so you get more of what you want than a regular co-op.

4 DAY ORDER CYCLE –FOR Tuesday pick up

Before 9pm Thursday as a courtesy for your Hubster if you do not wish an order login, go to MY ORDERS, dropdown ‘skip a week’ and tick the date not wanting an order. If you do fortnightly then this is the place to go to organise your orders. Thursday 9pm – Orders are created. You get an email. Note Star Products at the top of the list in SPLITS tab. These are recommendations by your Hubster. The green dollar sign products are good value. Start your order in Marketplace then go to your SPLITS tab. This is explained in your Welcome email. Sunday 9pm - CUTOFF
Orders closed. Cards charged. There are 2 automatic processing’s, if those both decline - a $5 recharge fee is applied as it pays for someone to manually reprocess. You must pay BEFORE pick-up. Tuesday - PICK UP. You must pick up day of delivery at the pick-up time or arrange with Hubster. PAYMENTS
You must pay for your order once committed to an order cycle. It's OPT OUT. So if you don't want an order, you’ll need to suspend before orders are created. Once in an Order Cycle we cannot withdraw an order. It is your responsibility to suspend the correct weeks. If your payment declines twice there is a $5 recharge fee applied to the third attempt. A European heatwave and drought have limited Spanish and Italian producers’ ability to supply olive oil to international markets, including Australia.

This has been coupled with an unusually cold and short growing season for Australian Australian olive oil suppliers.

The lower-than-usual production and supply of olive oil, together with heightened demand from shoppers, means prices have gone up.

Using less oil in your cooking could keep your meals healthy. Here are some alternatives and cooking techniques:

Use alternatives for baking – unless you are making an olive oil cake, if your recipe calls for a large quantity of oil, try using an alternative such as apple sauce, Greek yoghurt or mashed banana

Use non-stick cookware – using high-quality, non-stick pots and pans reduces the need for oil when cooking or means you don’t need oil at all.

Steam instead – steam vegetables, fish and poultry to retain nutrients and moisture without adding oil.

Bake or roast – potatoes, vegetables or chicken can be baked or roasted rather than fried. You can still achieve crispy textures without needing excessive oil.

Grill – the natural fats in meat and vegetables can help keep ingredients moist, without using oil.

Use stock – instead of sautéing vegetables in oil, try using vegetable broth or stock to add flavour.

Try vinegar or citrus – use vinegar or citrus juice (such as lemon or lime) to add flavour to salads, marinades and sauces without relying on oil.

Use natural moisture – use the natural moisture in ingredients such as tomatoes, onions, and mushrooms to cook dishes without adding extra oil. They release moisture as they cook, helping to prevent sticking.

Thanks Shepherds for these amazing new additions to our product line up.

Okay, we’ve eye-balled these for a while now – prompted by a few Hubsters and members who have tried these and since developed a mild addiction to them.

The great thing about both the pies and sausage rolls is that they only contain real food ingredients: no emulsifiers, preservatives, colourings and e-Numbers.

Both the pies and rolls come in a range of flavours, and include vegetarian options. They can be frozen and re-heated in the oven.

They cost from $16 per 4-pack for the pies and $16 per 5-pack for the sausage rolls (incl GST). They make a delicious and economical lunch for the whole family.

Here are some healthy and cheaper alternatives to olive oil:
- Canola oil is a good alternative for frying. It’s relatively low in saturated fat so is generally considered healthy. Like olive oil, it is high in healthy monounsaturated fats.
- Sunflower oil is a great alternative to use on salads or for frying. It has a mild flavour that does not overwhelm other ingredients. Some studies suggested using sunflower oil may help reduce your risk of heart disease by lowering LDL (bad) cholesterol and raising HDL (good) cholesterol.
- Sesame oil has a nutty flavour. It’s good for Asian dressings and frying. The toasted type - Carwari Organic Black Sesame oil in pantry is fabulous to flavour sauces. Sesame oil is high in antioxidants and has some anti-inflammatory properties.

There are many Unusual Myths and Theories about the Moon, whilst we cant prove them we can tell you that a full moon brings on the Cauliflowers.

Yes you read that correctly the full moon brings on the Cauliflowers.

In the same way that the moon impacts on the ocean’s ebb and flow – with full moon bringing on high tide – it equally affects moisture levels in the top-soil level. Moisture gets pulled up to the top 30cm of the soil, which is where most plants draw their nutrition from – and this speeds up plant growth.

This week we have them for $3.40 each.

Support Australian Farmers whilst looking after yourself, putting fruit in a can;
- Ruins the fruit flavour because it is cooked and then smothered in processed juice that is full of fructose
- costs you more, almost 3 times are more than buying fresh fruit
- strips the fruit of most essential nutrients
