The goal of our food Hub is to cut your food bill, without compromising on the quality, freshness and variety of food. With minimal effort, minimal packaging and food miles, and still paying farmers and suppliers a fair price for their produce.

To see more about How box Divvy Works please look under ABOUT on this page.

Want to know how we work with our growers? https://www.boxdivvy.com/how
Maybe you’d like to see the pricing https://www.boxdivvy.com/products
We are, on produce, up to 30% cheaper on a seasonal basket than online supermarkets.

Why is that important?
We pay our farmers fairly, we have no complicated distribution centres so you will taste the difference.

What makes Box Divvy Unique?
We’re about community – farmers, you and neighbours. We share stories about farmers and produce here. I encourage you to share your recipes and show your cooking feats here for our group to discuss.

I look forward to meeting you and please enjoy the journey.
Any questions please ask.
Cheers,
Yohana

The cooking tomatoes are back!! we almost put them on a few weeks ago, only for the grower in Ardmona (VIC) to lose his crop to hail. This week, another Victorian grower is starting up – and they are intensely sweet because the tomatoes were allowed to ripen on the vine. Perfect for tomato soup and pasta sauce.

Here’s mine cooking as we speak. Box Divvy cooking tomatoes, basil and shed loads of garlic!

Anyone else loving the cheap strawberries?

Mix sliced strawberries with orange juice and honey, let sit for 2 hours, and all of the natural juices will come out, giving you a simple yet delicious dessert when paired with whipped cream.

Zucchini blossoms are a thing of wonder They are great raw, in a salad, with a drizzle of good olive oil, but when they are coated in a crisp batter and stuffed with a light filling, they are an otherworldly experience To get a good batter that isn’t too thick or oily, ensure that your sparkling o...

This is such a great way to enjoy broccolini!

Broccolini bunches are just $2 each. Have you tried roasting them, so that the rosettes crisp up? Simply sprinkle with extra-virgin olive oil (or sesame oil for that real nutty flavour), salt and pepper, and put under a hot grill for 4-5 minutes (turn them halfway) or until cooked and slightly charred.

Rhubarb is close to getting over the line this week and is a great price.

I love to use mine in a rhubarb compote (throw a couple of strawberries in there to tame some of the tartness) and then use the compote:

* dolloped on morning oats
* stirred through some plain yogurt
* dolloped on top of some ice cream for dessert
* paired with some baked apples

Keeps in the fridge in an airtight container for about a week, or can be frozen for about 6 months!

Fermenting Australian garlic when it is in season.

This is the recipe (it is from Sarah Wilson's Simpilicious cookbook, which is hands down one of the best cookbooks I own in terms of zero waste/sustainability and ideas on what to do with different parts of veggies that normally get thrown out, like cauliflower leaves, beet leaves etc).

Love Box Divvy for some many things.

Did you know 🤔
Farmers typically receive 65-70c in every dollar you spend at Box Divvy and they’ll receive that money within days of you placing your order 😁
When you buy your produce from the supermarket, farmers receive less than 30c in every dollar you spend – and they often have to wait 30-60 days to get paid, as these are the standard terms by which the major supermarkets operate ☹️
