Royal Park Riding Academy & Agistment is a small riding school and boarding facility in the Swan Valley run by NCAS level 1 qualified, Monique Caddies.

Royal Park Riding Academy is a small riding school nestled in the Swan Valley established in 2012. It is owned and operated by Monique Caddies ("Moo"). Monique has been riding both recreationally and competitively for the past 31 years. Her riding experience covers a variety of disciplines including dressage, eventing, show jumping, vaulting, track work, bush racing, gymkhana games, barrel racing,

showing, in-hand and cattle/station work. Her fort-ay however is eventing with a focus on dressage. Monique taught riding and vaulting at Riding for the Disabled for 20 years. Monique also taught at Swan Valley Pony Club. Though Monique enjoys and specializes in teaching children. Monique is also a qualified vet nurse, so is happy to share he medical knowledge. She also would like to start her EA qualifications. She has regular lessons herself with classical dressage instructor, Anita Budgeon, Katrin Kuenstler and lessons with various other jumping instructors. She has a small herd of horses who are all very well cared for, educated, compete and are schooled regularly. They are quiet but responsive and are most importantly - SAFE!!! Lessons are $65- flat rate max 4 riders. Half hour lessons are $45. All lessons include horse care as riders are expected to catch and tack up their own horse (under guidance of course!!!)

Lessons are available every day and are booked in on a weekly or fortnightly basis. There is no joining fee and lessons are paid for each week. So no term fee (we do have a $25 cancellation without 48 hours notice)

We also do camps, gymkhana days, show days and clinics. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT DUE TO OUR HORSES WORKLOAD OUR WEIGHT LIMIT IS 75KGS

I've only taught a few lessons this year but so far I've been absolutely blown out of the water by how well my students have started back.

We are learning new concepts... pushing our riding to new levels. So proud!

As we are in for ANOTHER hot one.. I've done a little timetable up for those who'd like to still try to get their lesson in. Every bum in the saddle goes a long way towards the upkeep of our ponies. We greatly appreciate your support and understanding as we try to juggle lessons around the weather.

I am not one bit excited this week's start to lessons. In fact, I'm down right dreading it.

Each day will be posted on here but all lessons will be changed to early starts and I shall personally contact each rider who doesn't comment on their post. (If the heat gets to my head and i miss you, please contact me!!)

So far Monday's 2 lessons will be combined and be a 7.45am arrival for the earliest start we can manage. (8.30am at the latest). It'll be a half hour lesson. ($50).

What a wonderful morning down at the beach today. The water couldn't have been more beautiful. Our horses were so well behaved and we all had lots of fun!

BEACH TRIP TOMORROW... what to bring:

*older helmet (if you only gave a good one, we have plenty spares to bring)

*joggers (or any enclosed footwear that can get salty and sandy)

*towel, hat, zinc, water bottle

See you @ 7ish at ours or 8.15am at the beach (give or take.. we'll post ETA when we pull out of our drive).

Beach trip!!!

Either meet us at Royal Park to help us load and follow us there or alternatively just rock up and enjoy a fun morning down at Kwinana Naval Base Horse Beach (Riseley Rd) with our ponies.

We intend to leave here at 7.30 to be at the beach around 8.15am.

We are only taking 6 horses this year so places are limited!

Price is $120. Full payment will secure your place.

We will have a few spots in our cars so human transport can be arranged. 🙂
