🚨 IMPORTANT update regarding MICROCHIPS registered with HOMESAFE ID 🚨

The WA company HomeSafeID Microchip Pet Registry has gone into receivership. They are currently uncontactable and while details are currently still available, they may no longer maintain their microchip database in the long term. This means if your pet goes missing, the contact details on the microchip may not be available.

To ensure your contact details on your pet’s microchip are up to date and accessible, we recommend staying aware of updates and starting the process to register the microchip with another database. There will be a small fee of around $15 to change to a new registry, but it is SO important to keep your pets microchip details up to date in the event they ever go missing so they can be reunited with you as soon as possible.

The most commonly used registry’s include:

✅Australian Animal Registry
✅Global Micro Animal Registry
✅Central Animal Records

If you are unsure which database your pet's microchip is currently registered with, you can check here:
https://petaddress.com.au

Please note, the Dogs’ Refuge Home is unable to complete this process for you but are happy to answer any questions you may have. Please take action today.

😭NO INTEREST FOR MONICA AND ROSS 😭

🩷UP FOR ADOPTION🩷

Introducing the newest additions to Swan Veterinary Hospital, Monica and Ross! This sibling duo was brought into us after being found wandering around the Mundaring Weir Hotel. They were timid and shy when they first came to us but after lots of TLC they have come so far.

Monica and Ross are 10 week old domestic short hairs. They love nothing more than racing around chasing toys and of course each other! Once the pats and cuddles start the purr boxes begin! The sound is almost deafening! They love a good snuggle! We would love for them to be re-homed together but will take single adoption enquiries. Monica and Ross require a patient home that will give them time to settle in, but once they do, they will love you forever.

Monica and Ross’s adoption fee is $300 individually or $350 combined, which includes: kitten vaccinations, microchipping and desexing when they reach 5 months of age.

If you are interested in meeting these little devils please email [email protected] and tell us a little about your family.

❤️Monday feel good story!❤️

Last year this little man Duggee aka Dogless was brought in to us at three months old. He presented to our hospital after not eating for several days and losing a massive amount of weight. Duggee was diagnosed with a foreign body obstruction somewhere in his gastro intestinal tract. Unfortunately his owner was unable to care or treat him, so he was surrendered to us.

Duggee was admitted for an emergency exploratory laparotomy. He was a bag of bones and horrendously unwell so we weren’t sure if this brave little boy would pull through. After a two hour operation, a corn cob was removed from his intestines.

After many weeks in hospital, Duggee pulled through! He was lovingly fostered and cared for by one of our fabulous nurses and once he was well enough, it was time to find him a forever home!

After lots of searching, Duggee found his new family to love him and help him learn how to be a puppy again! Almost three months later, we have received this amazing update from his family and we just had to share it with everyone! Check out the before and after!

We love you Duggee and are so beyond happy for you! ❤️

ADOPTED 🩷

Introducing the newest addition to Swan Veterinary Hospital, little man Gordon! This gorgeous little s***k was brought to us by a member of the public after he was found wandering the streets of Midvale. The streets is no place for a kitten, so he was whisked off to us for some much needed love!

Gordon is gorgeous 8 week old domestic short hair. He loves nothing more than playing/climbing his scratching poll and a good rub behind the ear. With slow introductions, we think he wouldn’t mind a fluffy friend. He is a super happy kitten, who wants nothing more than to celebrate his first Christmas with a family he loves!

Gordon’s adoption fee is $300, which includes: Kitten vaccinations, microchipping and desexing when he reaches 5 months of age.

If you are interested in meeting this little devil please email [email protected] and tell us a little about your family.

ADOPTED!

Introducing the newest addition to Swan Veterinary Hospital, big boy George! This hunk of burning love was brought to us by a member of public after he was found wandering the streets of Midvale. Due to him not being desexed or microchipped we doubt he has ever had a proper home.

After most likely fathering every stray cat in Midvale, he has had his much needed sterilisation procedure and is now on the hunt for a family for Christmas!

We believe George is about 8 years old. All our staff are in a total agreement that George is definitely, beyond all reasonable doubt, the biggest smooch man in the universe! He will cuddle and snuggle non stop! Including sneaking up to high furniture to plant a big fluffy kiss on your cheek or chin or arm, whatever he can get too. He has had early testing with cats and that went well, so with slow introductions we think he wouldn’t mind a furry companion.

Given poor George has come from the streets, he has been FIV/FELV tested, which has come back negative. He also came to us with painful fractured teeth, which have since been removed so he is now pain free!

George’s adoption fee $150.

If you are interested in meeting this old rocker, please email [email protected] and tell us a little about your family.

🩷ADOPTED🩷

Introducing the newest addition to Swan Veterinary Hospital, Benji! Benji was surrendered to us as his owner could no longer care for him. He came to us in rough condition, covered in painful matts and riddled with fleas! Sadly due to the matts, Benji’s beautiful fur could not be saved, but do not worry, his gorgeous mane will grow back soon!

Benji is at the ripe old age of 17! He is looking for a family to let him live out the rest of his golden years in luxury and style. He has been treated for his fleas and even had an old man blood test, which has come back perfect!

He is an absolute snuggle pot, who loves nothing more to smooch and cuddle up next to you and also loves to follow his humans around the house. Benji has had early testing with cats but no dogs, given he is such a chill dude, we believe with slow introductions he would be fine. Given Benji is a senior man, a chill, cosy house is a must!

Benji’s adoption fee is $150

If you are interested in meeting this absolute stunner of a man, please email [email protected] and tell us a little about your family.
