Congratulations to Kaitlin Teichert who took out the win in the EvA80 Junior class aboard Tenacious Red at Marcus Oldham Geelong Horse Trials 🥇An exciting result for this new partnership!

Stephen Bow also placed on the podium in the CCN1*s, finishing 3rd with Dashwood Rio 🥉 the partnerships first attempt at the level!

SA Young Rider Squad riders also fared well; Connie Miller and Delicato finishing 10th in the CCN2*s, while Chloe Jong finished 11th in the CCN1*s with Copper Boy. Kaitlin Teichart also finished in 7th in the EvA65 aboard Finch Farm Gia

Pulse won his Grade 3 HT class on the weekend. He really finds XC easy and is such a bold and fluent ride.

His previous tension in warm up areas is disappearing as was so easy to handle.

Took Pulse out schooling today. First ride in 6-8 weeks and hasn’t jumped for several months. Was awesome.

Currently for sale. Entering in HT in couple of weeks. Good time to view in competition atmosphere if interested in him. Contact to arrange.

Good eventer type - even talent in all three phases.

He is a really lovely natured horse, easy to have around and has big paces for a TB. By Encosta de Lago, he’s 8yo and approx. 16.2hh.

Very easy ride on course, bold and lovely, but some warm up areas can be a tad hairy at times. And if he’s fresh and you jump on with no lunge and head straight out back gate into the bush (like I do) you’d need to be a knowledgeable rider to be able to read him and allow forward, leg to hand.

He’s improved with exposure and I manage him out no worries but a kid for example may get nervous. Won’t sell to young kids.

Has had good exposure and been ridden out lots, attended camps, rallies, clinics, etc. Competed 80/G3 eventing (schooled 95/G2) and 80/90cm SJ. Not as many comps as necessary to be competing higher and hasn’t had much of a run due to other horses.

If you don’t want to go eventing he is also an extremely fun trail riding horse for a competent rider coz he is bold, doesn’t spook and I’ve found nothing yet that fazes him. Regularly goes out on own and sometimes with another horse but dunno what he’d be like in a big group; may be fine but like many TBs unlikely to sit on the buckle at the back of the group. If want that, perhaps QH be better.

Four event/SJ horses currently for sale due to change of direction. Different types of horses with varying levels of experience, natures and strengths. Some more suited to kids than others.

Serious competition horses with heaps of miles and exposure including clinics, comps, road, river and bush bashing, rallies and camps. Anything unusual out and about, we’ve probably found and done.

1. WB, 6yo serious event horse, MI3DE and AI3DE prospect, competing 95, schooling 1*+, placed in 4yo MI3DE and Wandin Young Event Horse classes last year. Talented and pretty straightforward but too much horse for a younger kid.

2. Clydie X TB, 7yo super talented showjumper, competed 1.15m but so much talent for more (kid stopped riding), has evented to 95cm and loves it, bold and brave. A real competitor, light on his feet with scope and desire for big tracks. Some may think not suited to high levels of eventing due to type but you may be surprised. Would jump young kid out of the saddle so needs competent rider.

3. SOLD TO A GREAT SJ HOME
OTT, 10yo, experienced showjumper. Competed Juniors, 1.30m and Futurities. Has got the hang of eventing and evented to 1*, with unlimited scope and definite MI3DE and AI3DE prospect. Extensively schooled, rideable and great with kids.

4. OTT, 8yo, bold and good on the flat, big strong horse, good in all phases, real eventer type. Not for a chicken or young kid.

Located in Mildura but I am in Gisborne for a clinic this weekend.
Have some viewings/rides arranged for serious buyers closer to Melbourne. with the possibility for a couple more. Others welcome to watch in clinic lessons of course.

Prices vary for the three that will be at the clinic however they will be suitable for those looking in the $30-$45k price range. The fourth is much cheaper but won't be at the clinic.
