Not long now.. Scooter pump track opens soon 🙌🏻

New attraction to keep Nowingi Playground 'pumping' 🛴 🚲

A new 55-metre pump track is coming to the Nowingi Place playground area!

The track, perfect for our region's young bike and scooter enthusiasts, is designed to be removable in the event of flooding.

The track is one of many upgrades we're making to the Nowingi Place end of the riverfront precinct. Other additions include:

🚶Additional walking paths to improve connectivity and access between Bobby & Me and the Water Play Park
😎 New shade sails in the playground area
🧒Replacement of play equipment
🩴A rock-lined sandpit in the playground

🚧 TEMPORARY CLOSURES – LOCK 11 & LOCK ISLAND 🚧

Exciting preparations are underway for the upcoming Trail of Lights: Fireflies and Gone Fishing art installations!

To facilitate this work:

➡️ Lock 11 lawns will be temporarily closed on Tuesday, 4 February 2025.
➡️ Lock Island will have periodic closures from January to April 2025.

These immersive installations will feature glowing fireflies and striking Gone Fishing sculptures, creating a unique and captivating experience for our community and visitors.
