Agriculture Victoria is responding with staff on the ground supporting the business with laboratory investigations as necessary.

Over the weekend the BVC crew teamed up with RSPCA Mildura for the “Mildura RSPCA Desexing Program 2.0”!

The crew were able to desex a whopping 46 cats for the weekend!

BVC would like to thank all the staff and Hayley from Mildura RSPCA for making this possible! Special mention to chef Leesa for the bbq lunch spread - thank you!

This IS very much the reality of being a vet.

Take a moment to read this article and appreciate the sacrifices vets make on a daily basis to care for our animals.

BE KIND 🌻

It took 18 years for Margie to finally quit her dream job working in a ‘mixed clinic’. But it wasn’t the animals that pushed her over the edge, it was the people. https://mamamia.au/3VLPUGy

As parts of the country nudge 40 degrees this weekend, we’d love to know what tips you have for keeping pets cool 😎

It’s important to pay extra attention to our pets and wildlife in extreme heat, to avoid any unnecessary trips to the vet. And if you do end up needing help, remember to treat your vet with respect. 🌻

The warmer weather seems to have finally set in! ☀️
With many of us heading to our favourite water spot - be it the river, beach or a pool! Our furry friends love to join us on these fun adventures, but we ask that you do remember a stick is not a safe fetching option for your pet as it can cause injury to the dogs mouth, cause infection from splinters and can also become life treating if ingested! Hit up your local pet shop to seek a safer alternative! Also keep in mind when swimming in your pool that all gates are closed as dogs/puppies big or small can fall in or jump in and be unable to get out without your knowledge. They can only swim for so long before becoming exhausted which can be life treating.
Let every person and pet play it safe by the water this summer! 🏊‍♀️ 🏖️ 🚤 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 🐶
