We are in the thick of the kitten season and there are so many rejects from the Black Friday Sales I’ve just started calling them A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and Floof. If you are interested in adopting please come in and ask at reception!

CSA: we are changing over our entire clinic software system over the next couple of weeks, and also replacing quite a few computers, so everything is a little SLOW 😫 Please bear with us. And yes, it is making us feel like Dennis Denuto trying to get the photocopier to work.

We have some pups in need of a home, adoption fee $500 which covers desexing, microchip and puppy vaccination course. They are all very sweet kids.
Clyde: Bubbly personality. Enjoys a warm Spring breeze tickling his whiskers. Very trusting, bordering on gullible.
Hades: Changed his birth name so that he could get more serious roles in Hollywood. Will take chicken over beef at a wedding. Occasionally passes wind and will blame others.
Medusa: Excellent at multitasking. Project manages her brothers. Avid reader of non-fiction but will shame read a teen fiction here or there.
Come in and fill out an application form at MVH if you are interested 🙂

Happy Vet Nurse Day! Amongst many other things our nurses are champions at looking after the tidal wave of stray kittens that rock up around this time of year. Contact us if you’d like to take one off of their hands! Pictured below:

Felix’s favourite Harry Potter book is number three because of Sirius, doesn’t mind the movies but thinks number 5 should have definitely been split into two because come on if you’re going to split number 7 that book’s a fraction of the size of 5 also boy did they just skim over the whole half blood prince thing in 6 and where was the juicy Tom Riddle backstory that was easily the best part of that book need I go on.
Geez calm down Felix what a nerd.

Adopt a Yowie! Or… a kitten called Yowie. 8 weeks old, adoption fee of $350 covers desexing, microchipping and kitten vacc course plus FIV testing.
Rescued and raised in the bush by actual yowies, or so she claims. Have to say the photos she showed us are kind of blurry.

First grass seed of the season out of an ear today! Snakes won’t be far behind… Might be a good time to mow the lawn/ weeds if you haven’t had a chance yet.

Two kelpie crosses have been exploring eleventh st/ Irymple Ave most of the day and they’ve asked me for a lift to the pub. Can only offer them water but does anyone know who owns them in the meantime?

Three quick notes-
1. Ouyen tomorrow!
2. Newspapers- running a bit short on newspapers if anyone has some spare we would love them 🙂
3. Nationwide shortage of IV fluids! We are having to reschedule our routine surgeries until late October to preserve IV fluids for emergency/ very unwell patients, hopefully will have some more news on this in Oct as is affecting the human sector also.

Matilda has earned another steak for her blood donating- this time helping out a little fella that thought the cubes of rat bait he found might just be a new flavour of schmacko. She hates me putting photos of her on social media but she’s agreed today because the sedation hasn’t worn off.
