A fabulous second comp for Equasy Keno settling well into competition environment.
Chloe and Keno bringing home 4th in the Combined Training and some super work today building fitness and the pieces coming together.

Now that Winston’s home and safe I can focus on his recovery. Unfortunately my boy is… Fifi Booth needs your support for Ongoing costs for Winston’s recovery.

Thank you to everyone continuing to support Mr Winston on his journey back to health. He has been pampered having soaking fungal shampoos and deep conditioning QV soaks to restore his skin and hair re growth.

We are starting slow return to grass grazing from adlib grassy round and hard feeding three to four times a day in small amounts. Winnie has been getting Perfect Mash with chaff which is easy and gentle for his stomach.

Winston is LOVING his small but nutritious feeds. The donated Digestive EQ from Raymond’s Warehouse is being slowly integrated to his feed regime which will help recover his gut biome and all with flow from there.

Slow and steady with changes for his system as colic is a real danger during this process.

Winston has appreciated the baths and love shown to him having some time next to the other horses. He is looking much brighter in the eye and loves the cuddles.

Next week is F***l Egg Count to establish exactly what worms to target and to avoid unnecessary use of chemicals on him atm and a 2:1 vaccination to ensure he’s up to date.

The physical side of starvation is clear to see Winnie has shown distress and fence walks when he is getting hungry. It’s so sad to see this change knowing how calm he was previous to this (Has agisted here previously)

Anxiety, worrying and food protection is his go to atm, about being hungry and food protection is something he’s likely to deal with for a long time to come now from our experiences with previous starved rescues.

Hopefully this will ease as we can introduce more natural forage grazing in the coming weeks out with his herd.

We are so grateful to everyone. RSPCA follow up will occur for action against the people responsible. Please help be Winnie’s voice as far too many of these cases occur and the horse lands with other people and that’s the end of it. This needs to change! If people are held accountable then chances are this behaviour will reduce until then this continues in stupid numbers.

We will update with Winnie’s progress next week and thank you all again legends for helping him🥰

So very impressed with our beautiful boy and we look forward to watching them develop together 💜 Reserve Champ Prep and Chloe’s Boy JoJo winning the Elementary Class of today. We are very proud!
