Australian Merino producers, we want to hear from you! 🐑🔍

An MLA/AWI funded research project investigating merino ewe mortality has started, with the first phase capturing industry wide data around the extent of Merino ewe losses and management practices, through an online industry survey. 📊📋

Findings will inform on-farm trials investigating the incidence and causes of Merino ewe mortality around the period of lambing, which is starting in 2024. 📝

🎣🐠 FISH HOOK SAFETY

With everyone heading to the Kingston fishing comp this weekend what a perfect time to share our latest patient Rex.

Rex came in today after a play with a ball ended up coming off second best with some fishing hooks. One hook stuck in his leg and one in his paw pad 🐾

Dr Celia managed to get both hooks out safely with only 2 stitches needed 🙏 lucky boy!

Just a reminder to watch your dogs on the beach when not using rods and casting!! 🐶😉
