Dr Matt loves a tricky cancer removal surgery and it is always a challenge to remove cancers completely, and then close a large wound. This dog required a skin graft to close and cover the defecit. Dr Matt has his memberships in surgery and brings over 30 years of experience to the hospital. We were all very pleased with the complete excision of the cancer and the great result.

Ash and an armful of feline friend ! This guy has just recovered from a blocked bladder and is now on a strict diet. One of the common contributing factors to feline lower urinary tract disease is obesity snd stress. Ensure your cats have ready access to water or even water fountains and 1 litter tray per cat plus one spare.

Poor pelican needed our help today to remove a fish hook stuck in his leg. After some local anaesthetic was applied, the hook was carefully cut out. A timely reminder to local fisherman to take care with fishing gear and hooks. Well done Dr Caitlin !

Dr alanna had a whole litter of boxer pups to examine and vaccinate ready for new homes, and nurse Brittany made sure this gorgeous kitten recovered cosy and warm from his desex surgery. Welcome Felix to the Milton vet family ! Huge congrats to Dr Kai and her husband Josh, we are so happy he is here safely.
Thank you to all our clients who have been very patient over the last week, we apologise for the longer than normal wait times. We are already missing Dr Kai, who made an earlier start to her maternity leave 🥰, and Dr Caitlin is also unfortunately unwell at the moment. Going from 4 vets to 2 on a few days has really challenged us but I am very proud of the nurses for being so helpful and positive. Dr Alanna has also been amazing and stayed back to help out. We are hoping Dr Chloe may make a guest appearance this week and we are very fortunate to welcome the lovely Dr Hannah as our locum. Happy New Year and be kind everyone, we are doing our best and will always try to fit clients in.

It's been a tricky week with several staff having to isolate due to covid contacts. Thanks to everyone for being patient when we are down staff , I'm sure it's something we will have to deal with again in the coming months. Just a reminder too that some food lines are going to back order due to supply chain issues. We recommend putting food orders in when you are low so we can try and keep products up to you. Using positive reinforcement, dogs will “learn to learn”, developing and refining good and acceptable behaviours. This class focuses on training for a reliable recall, impulse control, and walking on a loose-lead but also incorporates a lot of fun activities for you to enjoy with your pup. Pheww! It's a real scorcher out there today! Fortunately Kevin the Dingo is getting his clam-shell deluxe pool ready for his mates, but wants to make sure EVERYONE is keeping their pets cool and supplying cold, fresh water and shade. 🌞

Ever wondered what happens when your dog comes in for grooming? Meili is 17 weeks old and had her first groom today. She was a little stressed initially, but was quickly soothed by Nicole's sweet tunes and now rocks a killer new 'do 😃
