Results from our Northern Ram Sale yesterday:
142/142 rams sold for a total sale average of $1511.
Jolly Jumbuck - 83 rams averaged $1637, top of $3,100
Mt Ascot - 59 rams averaged $1,335, top of $4,000

723 bales for the year and approx 23,000 sheep shorn between our properties, now everyone is exhausted! Ewes are in great order and ready to lamb next month, wether lambs are being finished on oats crops and rams are being prepared for our upcoming Northern Sale. It’s all a big effort but rewarding with the dual-purpose ability of our Merinos to be able to make the most of the high lamb and mutton markets as well as income from our yearly wool clip. Merinos are kicking goals!

Flashback to shearing at Woodstock & Waratah, Cunnamulla during June as we are about to start shearing at Mitchell this week. Thankful for a fantastic season, fat sheep and unreal meat prices!!

Mustering, all sheep crutched, all lambs weaned & ewe hoggets and CFA ewes shorn, all done in 8 very hot days for our commercial flock at Woodstock. Thanks team for the big effort!
We continue to shear our ewe hoggets at 6 months as we get in return increased growth rates, higher conception percentages and more wool growth which all means more $$$

Thank you to everyone who came and supported our On-Property sale yesterday! We are happy to report the auction topped at $5,000 twice for both MTA Lot 1 and JJ Lot 37 with a 100% clearance.
MTA sold 54 to average $1965
JJ sold 36 to average $1487
A big thank you to NAB Roma and Coopers/Allflex for supplying beers to keep everyone hydrated in 40+ degree heat!
