Good afternoon all, Poppies Pocket is no longer doing petting farm, but still have all my babies. Mother chook was sitting on 4 eggs, day 20, "I don't want to sit on these eggs any more, so I candled the eggs and put them in the incubator, and to my surprise, I got 3 peafowl chicks and I bantam chick, all doing well, so don't give up on eggs.

What a special sweet man he is

Thank you to everyone who has supported us with a merchandise order since the passing of our dear Oscar.

We can’t tell you how much we appreciate it. As you can see here, Oscar just loved our recently released wearable blankets and we know you will too.

A lot of people don’t realise this because of our effectiveness, but we’re completely volunteer-run, and it’s Deb who packs the orders from a room in her own home.

So we just wanted to pass on a little note that there might be a slight delay, but we will get to it as soon as possible. ❤️

What a sad day, I hope this little fella didn't die in vain, there should never be a mistake litter, maybe if they gave fur babies away we would have a lot less unnecessary breeding, Sweet little Oscar has his wings.

It’s hard to find the right words for this post.

This morning at 11.35, Oscar left us.

Almost a year ago, we shared that with his deteriorating health, the vet thought he only had a few days to live.

But ever the fighter – he pushed on, and made it to his sweet 16th only a few months ago.

This morning he let Deb know it was time, and he was able to go peacefully in her arms.

Oscar was a dog that started a movement. He changed and saved lives. It’s hard to comprehend the enormous impact that one little dog could have.

He was an icon and a hero – but most of all, he was Deb’s best friend.

We will have more to say about Oscar, his life and all he achieved soon – but for now, Deb needs time to process and grieve. We still can’t quite believe he’s gone.

Rest in peace, Oscar.
