The Victorian Health Officer (Mr Pandemic) Brett Sutton has released the following annual warning which has been sent to all Council Health departments.
Meanwhile there are hundreds of skilled, knowledgeable and educated people who are willing to provide a service to the public by helping foragers to be educated and informed about the many introduced species of mushrooms found in Victoria.
BUT The Victorian Department of Environment, Water, Land and Planning (DEWLP) have zero desire to give permits to small environmentally conscious business people to host workshops and tours for people inquisitive about sustainable local food which includes foraging for and eating edible mushrooms and other edible (non native) weeds.
This government says its environmentally conscious believes in being truely sustainable and touts that it wants to encourage a circular economy...well I don’t believe them!

Government ignorance as well as the pandemic has killed my small biosphere inspired business...and stops many other small businesses from being created. when will the government start to help small innovative businesses instead of building more walls and fences.
