Mooroopna Vet Monthly Pet Competition!

Hello Paw-rents!
Mooroopna Vet Clinic is excited to announce that we will be holding a monthly pet photo competition!

How does it work you ask?? Its simple!
When your fur-baby comes in for an appointment with us, simply ask one of the nurses to take a photo of your pet, it'll be printed as a polaroid & pinned to our board in the clinic reception!
At the end of each month the clinic staff will vote based on personality & photo!

The fur-baby that wins at the end of the month will receive a mini hamper with prizes including:
- 1x One month supply of Nexgard spectra
- 1x Toy
- 1x Dental food sample pack & treat
- Your choice: 1x free standard consult
OR
- 1x Standard annual vaccination (t&cs apply)

We cant wait to see all the amazing photos!!

We have a new protocol in clinic! If your pet has a prescription that needs to be refilled, please let us know 2 days prior to it ending/running out to give our amazing team enough time to refill it in between the rustle & bustle of the vet clinic!

If your fur-baby is on an ongoing prescription with us and/or has medications that need refilling, please let us know 48 hours (2 days) minimum prior to the script/medication finishing!

This allows plenty of time for our amazing vets & nurses to get the medication refill ready for you amongst the crazy days we have here at the practice.
(Please note: Your pet MUST have been within the last 6 months with us. We cannot refill or prescribe medications if your pet has not been seen by one of our awesome vets!)

Snake bite season is here! The snakes have come in full force & unfortunately we have already had a large number of snake bite cases come into the clinic since September! 😱🐍 With that said here are some things that can help you in the event that your pet has come in contact with a snake!

🚨Watch out for these symptoms with your pets🚨
- Vomiting
- Diarrhoea
- Excessive salivation
- Trembling
- Paralysis
- Collapse
- Abdominal breathing & Difficulty breathing
- Cyanotic (Blue) gums.

🐾Tips for animal owners:🐾
- ❌Do not bring the snake into the clinic unless its (definitely) dead ❌
- Stay calm, a stressed owner = stressed pet
- 📱Call us straight away on 03 58 222 540 whilst en-route to the clinic at any sign that your pet has been in contact with a snake (better to be safe than sorry!)📞
- Help us by telling us what type of snake your pet has been in contact with i.e. eastern brown, tiger snake or red belly black 🐍
