Brave boy Archie has been diagnosed with Immune-Mediated Haemolytic Anaemia (IMHA). ❤️

IMHA is a serious autoimmune disease where a dog's own immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys its red blood cells. Without enough red blood cells to carry oxygen around the body, dogs can become extremely weak, lethargic, and very sick in a short amount of time.

As part of Archie's treatment, he urgently needed a life-saving blood transfusion.

This is where Bronson, an incredible Greyhound blood donor, stepped in and quite literally gave Archie a fighting chance. We will never be able to thank Bronson, his owners, and our amazing veterinary team for arranging this in record time.

Many people don't realise that dogs can donate blood just like humans. These incredible donor dogs save countless lives every year.

Archie still has a long road ahead, but we're taking it one day at a time.

Please keep Archie in your thoughts as he continues his fight. ❤️🐾
