We are having an increased number of pets needing treatment after being bitten by a paralysis tick.
We would like to remind all owners to keep their pets up to date with tick prevention, and not to forget daily pats to feel for any attached ticks.
Tick paralysis can be deadly. It is extremely important for pet owners to know the early signs of tick paralysis to allow for prompt treatment.
🤕 Symptoms include:
• Heavy breathing,
• Wobbly legs,
• Coughing and gagging,
• Vomiting or retching,
• Heavy salivation,
• Collapse.
