All the babies have been loving the warmer weather we are having, it’s nice to be able to spend some time outside with them and not freeze to death lol… Howard just gets stronger everyday and has started to wrestle with Calvin the puppy it’s quite funny to watch but definitely something we will have to stop before he gets to 350 kilos lol

Howard is 6 days old now and kicking arse … he’s an absolute angel …. Already on his way to toilet training and comes when he’s called …. Pigs really are the ultimate pet so loving and smart… so much more to them than just bacon

Today was a bitter sweet day … my little man is doing so well kicking goals and meeting some of the other animals on the farm …. On the s**t side I lost my smallest baby little Wendy wallaby 😞 the good and bad of rescuing :(

Ok so I’ve got so much to catch you guys up on…. It’s been crazy here we have so many new residents some permanent and some just with us until they are strong enough to make it on their own … let me introduce you to

Wendy and Warwick the black swamp wallabies both orphaned after cars killed their mummas… they are both doing so well drinking and eating and doing what wallabies do

Calvin my sons new border collie pup he’s 10 weeks old and more exhausting than all the others put together lol

Lastly Howard the saddleback piglet … he was born a week prem and the farmers thought he was dead luckily he moved at just the right time and was saved and handed over to me at about 7 hours old … he’s tiny and demanding and REDICULOUSLY CUTE but he will need everyones love to pull him through the next few weeks ….

All the baby goats and sheep and Collin the deer are growing up strong and are ready to go into the big kids paddock in the next few weeks

With the arrival of these 2 little girls on Friday our goat pack is done … now to come up with names …. All our goats have German names so far we have Gunter, Kransky , Willomina, Heidi and Klaus soooo hit me up with some German girls names :)

So we have made the big move and bought property in the country …. Goodbye beach helllloooo trees ….. and our fur family has expanded RAPIDLY….. let me introduce a few of the gang to you
Kevin Bacon …. The pushy wingy mini pig
Simon Cowell …… Simon is a saved calf from the dairy industry … he’s a total sook and enjoys head butting my arse every time I go in the paddocks
Barry and Shirley …..dorper sheep bottle fed from 3 weeks old and now think they are goats
Gunter ……bottle reared Pygmy goat who is pretty sure he’s human
Kransky….. pygmy goat very pretty but kinda a keep to himself kinda guy
Fred ….. a female alpaca with absolutely nothing going on behind her pretty eyes … she likes to eat leaves and roll in the dirt lol
Delilah …. Female alpaca much smarter than Fred
Collin….. baby samba deer who’s mum was killed and he was left in the side of the road …. Sweetest little soul ever
Willomina and Heidi …. PYgmy goats 6 weeks old newest members of our family
Frank and Carol …. White turkeys Frank has a major attitude problem and some huge ugly necksticles and Carol is just a sweet little lady who believes she is one of the chickens

Sad day today unfortunately Lieutenant Dans legs were worse than we thought ....both legs had slipped tendons that were causing malformation of his feet and without painful expensive drawn out operations he was never going to be able to walk .....the decision was made to put Lieutenant Dan to sleep ....thabkyou so much to The Unusual Pet Vets for your compassion and care ###x

Sad news :( unfortunately lieutenant Dans legs do not seem to be mending she is still having issues standing and walking ....much to the disgust of most poultry people mum has made an appointment at the unusual pets vet for Monday to see if anything can be done .....we are going to try our best to fix her but if its going to be too expensive or too painful for her she will have to be put to sleep :(

So what has everyone else been up to today ??? We have a Brahma with slipped tendons so she has had her legs strapped and is in a chicken chair to keep her upright and her feet off the ground .... THEN Denis the duck decided to try and drown in her water bowl so she has been blow dried warmed up vitamins given and is now being a chicken nurse....never a dull moment in the hen house .

Big day in the hen house today new swimming pool and beach oasis for Barbara and Karen ...new food troughs for everyone baby silkies have moved into a new outside nursery and 10 cubic meters of mulch layed down for the ladies to dig through

6 new babies at martha mays hen house .....one more egg pipping and I think one dud ....great fertility rate :)

The girls and boys having a scratch around ....fresh lawn clippings are very exciting

Little bit of an inside playground for yhe babies today with dried meal worms and a swimming hole...Barbara and Karen are loving the meal worms and our ever intelligent silkies are eating the box lol

Karen has had a blow-dry this morning the incubator humidity is so high that she didn't really dry off over night ...shes joined Barbara and the twins in the brooder and is holding her own ....Barbara is being a bit of a flog and trying to dominate but hopefully things will settle down soon
