Our beloved Fleur had quite an unfortunate encounter during her afternoon walk. As she was enjoying the fresh air and sniffs she suddenly started to jump around in pain. Upon inspection, we discovered that she had been bitten by an ant!
While it was a minor incident, it certainly caused her some discomfort. Fortunately, we found a couple of remedies that helped alleviate the pain. Soaking the bite in brown vinegar can work wonders, as its acidity helps to neutralize the sting. Additionally, icing the area provided immediate relief from the swelling and discomfort.
After a little rest and some tender care, Fleur was back to her cheerful self, ready to take on the world again. Remember, if you ever find yourself in a similar situation, these simple remedies can make a world of difference!
Stay safe on your walks, and watch out for those pesky ants! 🐜💖
Just a typical day at our crazy house. Making our way to the veggie patch in style 😆#bestmate
Riley
A slightly more difficult groom today.
As a groomer, my days can be a mix of delightful moments and challenging situations. While I absolutely adore working with animals and making them look their best, the reality is that not every grooming session is a walk in the park. Sometimes, you just have to roll with a little bit of nastiness and keep a positive attitude.
Staying calm and patient is key. I’ve learned to approach each situation with empathy, understanding that not every pet is used to grooming or may feel anxious. A gentle touch, soothing words, and a little humor can go a long way in easing their fears—and mine!
Archie
Grooming a green dog is more than just a routine—it's an essential training experience that builds trust and confidence. I recently took on a delightful challenge with Archie, a spirited young pup who had some reservations about grooming. His previous groomer didn’t quite mesh with his personality, leaving Archie a bit anxious. Thankfully, his vet recommended a different approach: a one-on-one grooming space where he could feel more at ease.
From our very first session, it was clear that Archie and I were a great match. While he’s not a fan of having his feet touched or the sound of the blow dryer, I saw a spark of potential in him. This was his fourth or fifth grooming session, and with each visit, I could see him becoming more comfortable. I love his spunk and unique quirks; they make our time together both fun and rewarding.
Sometimes, certain personalities just click, and that’s exactly what happened between Archie and me. With patience and understanding, we’re navigating this grooming journey together, and I can’t wait to see how much more he’ll grow in confidence. Here’s to many more successful grooming sessions and the special bond we’re creating along the way!

I appreciate your enthusiasm but you’re not really my type!
Never a dull moment
This boy always brings me wine and chocolate. Maybe I need to start sipping half an hour before he arrives. 😂

Caring for Your Dog's Eyes:
Just like humans, dogs need regular eye care to maintain their health and comfort. Their eyes can accumulate debris, tear stains, and dirt, which may lead to irritation or infections if not addressed. Here’s a simple routine to keep your dog’s eyes clean and healthy:
### 1. Daily or Every Other Day Wiping
- **Use a soft, damp cloth**: Take a clean, soft cloth or a cotton ball moistened with warm water. Gently wipe around your dog's eyes to remove any discharge or dirt. This helps prevent tear stains and keeps their face clean.
### 2. Observe for Changes
- **Check for redness or irritation**: While wiping, look for any signs of redness, swelling, or discharge. If you notice any unusual changes, consult your veterinarian to rule out infections or other issues.
### 3. Choose the Right Products
- **Consider tear stain removers**: If your dog is prone to tear stains, you can use specialized tear stain remover solutions. Always consult your vet before using new products to ensure they are safe for your dog.
### 4. Establish a Routine
- **Make it part of grooming**: Incorporate eye cleaning into your regular grooming routine. This not only helps keep their eyes clear but also strengthens your bond with your pet.
### 5. Maintain a Clean Environment
- **Keep their living area tidy**: Regularly clean your dog’s bedding and play areas to reduce the risk of dirt and allergens affecting their eyes.
By dedicating a few minutes each day or every other day to care for your dog’s eyes, you can help ensure their overall health and happiness. Regular eye care will keep your furry friend looking and feeling their best!
Poppys first groom 💕 Puppies can be a little tricky to groom because they wiggle just that little bit more than most. The first few times are essentially training sessions and if I can make an improvement on the hair situation that's just a bonus 😂 What a sweet happy baby girl 💕
