Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday week! Our opening hours over the next few weeks include:

Monday December 30th - Open
Tuesday December 31st- Open

✨Wednesday January 1st - Closed✨

Thursday January 2nd- Open
Friday January 3rd- Open

✨Monday January 6th- Open till 1pm only, we will be closed for the afternoon.✨

Tuesday January 7th to Tuesday January 14th - Open as usual

We will be open Monday 9th December. We will be at limited capacity this week as there are still things that need to be repaired, but at least we are back!
Cyclone Jasper seems like a distant memory now, and this has been a very stressful time for us. Like everyone who has been affected by the cyclone, we now know we are at the mercy of the insurance companies and builders- and sometimes they cause more issues than they fix!
We would like to thank everyone for their patience, support and understanding during this stressful time. 💕
We feel blessed to know how much our clients really care and worry about us, and we will be working very hard over the next few months to ensure everyone who has been waiting for our return is seen. ✨
We will be open all through Christmas and New Year (only closed for public holidays) to ensure you have access to a vet during the holidays. We will also be able to now provide afterhours services again.

We are hoping to be back up and running by the second week of December! We will update again once we get a definite date- will either be 9th or 16th depending on how quickly everything will be reinstated into the clinic……hang in there!
Be assured that we will be working all the way through Christmas and will open extended hours, if demand is there, to ensure we can see everyone who has been patiently awaiting our return.

Important Update: we have unfortunately been let down by the builders, and the work that has been done has been deemed 'below industry standards'.💔

This will mean that despite already having delays, they will now have to commence rectification work- which will delay our return even more!

We have no control over the situation, and are deeply distressed by all of this, but we will come out the other end of this experience with a beautiful clinic.

We again apologise for these unexpected, but we have no choice but to await rectification of this issue.

We will continue to update you as we find out more information. Please ensure your pets are on tick prevention, and if you require emergency assistance contact Cairns 24/7 clinic in Anderson Street Cairns for advice or veterinary treatment.
Hopefully we will be back up and running soon!

Sorry, obviously my expectations were based on things going to plan!

There have been some unforeseen hiccups during the renovations, which means delays of course.🛠️

At this stage it will be likely that we will be waiting until the 28th October before we can be up and running- it is out of our control at this stage so we will keep you posted.

😩 Dont worry, we are as upset about this as you are!

We are taking this opportunity to have a much earned (and very overdue) break whilst the clinic is closed for September.

Once the clinic is back to being ✨✨sparkly ✨✨again we will update you with a date available to make appointments.

Its all happening here! The task of moving everything out to complete the floor renovations has begun!

Please DO NOT walk onto the site or enter the clinic whilst renovation works are being done, we will NOT be there at all, as we also cannot enter the construction site.

We are making the most of this opportunity and taking a much needed and overdue rest and holiday whilst work is being done.

Please Note: There will be no phone access etc as they have been disconnected so work can be completed. If you require assistance please call Cairns 24/7 emergency until we return.

We look forward to showing off our shiny new floors in a few weeks!

WE WILL BE CLOSED FROM 2nd SEPTEMBER for rennovations and repairs to our floors! Possibly for 6 weeks depending on work progress.
Please ensure that if you have ongoing medications or food that you have enough to last through the month of September as we will not have site access during this time.

If your animal shows any symptoms, please call us immediately 40981888 and remember that Mossman Veterinary Surgery provides emergency afterhours services....as sometimes it may be too late by the time you drive to Cairns!

Please be mindful of the fact that we will not provide advice over the phone. All afterhours calls are for the sole purpose of attending the clinic for emergency treatment, we cannot provide advice without first seeing your animal.

We are the only vet clinic offering afterhours, this means we cannot be everywhere at the same time, so if the vet is attending another emergency and is unavailable, we suggest you call the 24/7 clinic in Cairns.

Sorry guys but we will be closed for the rest of the day due to localised flooding and staff being able to get home safely. Stay safe on the roads today, we will be open again tomorrow morning at 8.30am as usual.
