FUN FACT: Dogs have fewer, and different, taste buds than we do. Several things taste different to them. Most artificial sweeteners taste bitter, not sweet. In saying this, there are artificial sweeteners that dogs may like that are dangerous for them. For example, Xylitol (which is in a lot of peanut butters) causes a sudden drastic drop in blood sugar in dogs, which can lead to liver damage or even death
