Xena was recently treated at the rspca and Moggill koala rehab centre after being “rescued” from play equipment in Harrisville. A local resident spotted her this week just chilling. From the ear tag Ikps was able to identify this beautiful girl. Lovely to see her back home and doing so well. Thanks to the Harrisville community for keeping an eye on her 🐨 🍃

30 years ago we started this journey! 🐨 🦘 🦇 🌱

We can’t thank our founder Rick Natrass enough for the legacy he left us and all of our volunteers and supporters who have come and gone in the 30 years of IKPS.
Last weekend we celebrated with lunch and a thank you to our members. We hope that we can continue to educate the community on the importance of the environment and protection for all wildlife.
Happy 30th Birthday IKPS.

Happier news - Maple & Jack Flash 🐨❤️both rescued by our amazing rescue team. They are now receiving treatment at RSPCA wildlife hospital. Will keep all of our supporters and friends updated on their journey 🥰

Such a sad post, not every day can we post just the good stories 🐨😭 this mum and Bub were reported to Ikps this morning. Both deceased, hit by a car on Redbank Plains Rd, Redbank Plains. Timely reminder that this is peak breeding season and koalas are moving around. Please slow down and be aware of all wildlife all year around. They are sharing their backyard with us, not the other way around. Ipswich has a healthy population of koalas that are now listed as “Endangered”, they need our help and protection NOW before it’s too late 🙏
