Weβre a growing dog daycare service, and with our exciting move into a brand-new, purpose-built facility this October, weβre looking to add 1β2 casual team members to our team. Hours will vary.
At The Doggy Den, our top priority is the safety, wellbeing, and happiness of every dog in our care. We provide a fun, safe, and nurturing environment while building strong, lasting relationships with both dogs and their owners.
Requirements

Genuine passion for dogs and interest in learning about canine behaviour and training
β
Willingness to complete paid online study covering canine behaviour, body language, group management, problem behaviours, health, first aid & CPR, play styles, and fear-free methods
β
Availability for shifts during daycare hours: MondayβFriday, 6:30amβ7:00pm
β
Reliable, friendly, caring, and extremely patient
β
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
β
Confidence in managing diverse dog energies and physically handling larger breeds
β
Comfortable interrupting dog-to-dog play and interactions
β
Able to work long days on your feet in a loud, high-energy environment
β
Basic computer skills with confidence using booking systems, handling payments, and phone apps
β
Strong cleaning and hygiene standards
Responsibilities
πΆ Supervise large groups of dogs, observing behaviour and ensuring safe interactions
πΆ Confidently handle and intervene with dogs when needed to maintain wellbeing and safety
πΆ Implement basic training using force-free, fear-free methods
πΆ Create report cards and capture photos for owners throughout the day
πΆ Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the facility, including efficient cleanup of all bodily fluids
πΆ Provide enrichment through play and scheduled activities
πΆ Build and maintain positive rapport with dogs and owners
