This condition known as base narrow canines is becoming increasingly common in dogs, and seen sometimes in cats. As can be seen in the furst photo, the lower canine teeth are directed behind the upper canine teeth which is causing damage behind the upper canine teeth, as seen in the second photo. The solution is either referral to a vet dentist for crown reduction of the lower canine teeth OR extraction of the lower canine teeth (which we can do in GP land).
