Many thanks to members and their fur babies that attended the Dave Rumble seminar on obedience progress to trialing
Our day was fabulous and I believe lots of knowledge was obtained with handlers
Thank you one and all and I believe lots of helpful hints were given - just remember listen to your instructor, their advise is very valuable.

Update - BLODC Mt Gambier Easter April 19/20

We are thrilled to announce our new judge joining the Easter team, Charlie Giles from ACT.

Charlie will be replacing Peter Dynan , as he had to withdraw from his appointment , we wish Peter well in the coming months.

The club is very excited to be hosting such a spread of disciplines over the 2 day event :

BLODC Mt Gambier Easter Trial is now open on K9 Entries! Woohoo! It's registration time! 🥳 🐾

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our trial manager, Karen Brooksby, or trial secretary, Diane O Leary (details below) who are both here to help make your trialling experience as easy and stress-free as possible, especially for new novice competitors.

We are excited to announce that the Club has recently upgraded some of our equipment, including a new galican spread and two tyres (due to arrive early April). Watch this space for new weave poles which we are looking to update in the near future too. We take this opportunity to extend a big thank you to both Judy Magarey and Nic Childs for their generous offers to use brand new tyre & seesaw, if required!

Blue Lake Obedience Dog Club Inc. Mount Gambier are excited to share the 2025 Obedience /Rally /Agility /Jumping & Games Trial Schedule held over the Easter weekend 19/20 April at our club grounds Hastings Cunningham Reserve.

Please note ALL first time competitors/ handlers needing their dogs measured, this must be organised prior to the trial & with Lyn Fuller from the AAC, you can also refer to recent post she has shared about the process.

The event is fully catered both days with a coffee van & our local Lions Club of Gambier City providing eggs & bacon breakfast rolls, bbq lunch- steak, burgers, sausages & chips with a variety of sandwiches/vegetarian options.

The BLODC trial will be open for entries through K9 entries by the end of this week.

The forecasted temperature tomorrow, 12th Feb, is above 32°. In line with our hot weather policy, this week's Wednesday training has been rescheduled.

Sunday training on 16th Feb is scheduled to go ahead per usual.

The forecasted temperature tomorrow, 2nd Feb, is above 32°. In line with our hot weather policy, this week's Sunday training has been cancelled. We will still be on site tomorrow between 8.30am - 10.00am for member registrations. Please remember to bring along your vaccination (3) certificates.

Wednesday training on 5th Feb is scheduled to go ahead per usual.

🌡️ Hot Weather Policy Update 🌡️

Heads up, Blue Lake Obedience members!

We've made an important update to our Hot Weather Policy. If the temperature is expected to be 32°C or above, training sessions will be cancelled to keep both our dogs and handlers safe.

Please check our social media for updates on training during hot weather, and remember to keep your pups cool and comfortable in the heat!

The Chief Treatos Maker (Mum) is heading back into baking studio to prepare the most special of doggie biccies, Cleo's Christmas Cookies!

Cleo's Christmas Cookies Boxed Set is a limited release - intricately decorated and beautifully boxed cookies (minimum of 18) gift wrapped for $35.

Each Cookie is decorated by hand and designs may vary.

Orders to be placed no later than Saturday, 21 December 2024 - final drop-offs will be Tuesday, 24 December 2024.
