The immediate family of Donald Gordon Pitt (Pitty) would like to notify family and friends that Don will be buried with a graveside service at Mount Isa Lawn Cemetary on Friday 12th April at 3pm.

Please join us as we say farewell to him and after the service we will celebrate his life at the Mount Isa Campdraft Grounds, situated at Lagoon park, Bendall Drive.

💔 It is with extreme sadness that the family of Donald Gordon Pitt (Pitty) share with you that their beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away at the Mount Isa Base Hospital on Saturday the 6th April, at the age of 79. 💔

Don leaves behind his wife Pauline, Son Richard, daughters Joyce (Jo) and Deanne (Dee) Daughter in-law Aireen, Son In-Law William and Grandchildren Rhys, Marshall, Mackenzie, Elyza and Donald.

Those who were privileged to know Pitty, knew him to be a tough man with the heart of an Ox, a good mate who would stick by family and friends, help anyone and give them anything, who could make a good horse, a real good cattleman, throw a bull that others wouldn’t dare to step up to, fight like hell and his word was his word.

He was an impressive man in the bush, often he would work cattle with no people just his beloved dogs whom he loved. Pitty could travel to any town or city in Australia and pull in to have a cuppa with someone he knew.

If you didn’t know Pitty you soon would because he would talk to anyone anywhere, he loved life, and loved people.

The family are looking to hold the funeral on Friday the 12th of April, however to be confirmed.
