Our last two cats

Good morning everybody, Josh here. I just wanted to share a few things with you.

Firstly, I would like to thank you all for trusting me to look after your babies over the years. Whether I’ve only just met them or known them for many years, I’ve loved them all, and I will truly miss them. I’ve gotten to know their mannerisms, their likes and dislikes, their favourite spots and favourite foods.

I also have some news to share. Some have asked me what I’ll be doing after I’ve finished up here. I’ve started my own business, caring for pets in the comfort and security of their own homes. As I said previously, I’ve loved caring for your babies, and I hope you will trust me with the honour and privilege to continue caring for them. Once again, thank you so much for all your support over the last almost decade.

Quiet week at the Ritz

Good Morning Everyone,

It is with a heavy heart that James and I have decided to close the Kitty Ritz.

James, as you may or may not be aware, has Parkinson’s. He is nearly 78 years old and I am nearly 74, with ongoing mobility issues. As you can understand, it has become increasingly challenging for us to continue to provide the service and care we have been doing for so long at The Kitty Ritz.

It has been so hard to make this decision, however, our health does not enable us to carry on. Now, after 20 years, it is time to say “Goodbye” to The Kitty Ritz.

We want to thank you for your ongoing support over the years; we have always very much appreciated and valued it. I have shared your joyous and sometimes sad moments with you and your babies; I thank you for this honour.

I still remember my vision for The Kitty Ritz; to build a home dedicated only for cats where they could stay when their Mum and Dads were away; that felt just like home. To see it materialise was so rewarding and gave me unbelievable joy.
I have thoroughly loved caring for your babies and thank you for trusting us with them.

My personal thank you must go to my right hand man, Josh, who has been here through the good and bad times. His reliability and genuine love for all in his care, have been a constant support for me. Without it, we could not have continued over the last nearly four years. Thank you very much Josh.

To James, who took up my baton after my two knee operations, and ran with it to keep things flowing as normal. He starts at 7am; opening up all the outdoor areas for the cats and does his last check on your babies at 7pm every day, seven days a week. He is also the best vacuum cleaner you could ask for! He loves every one of your babies; always giving each one a loving pat.
I thank you James with all my heart for helping me go on with minimum pain and minimum fuss.

We will not be taking anymore bookings from August 1 2023; but bookings already confirmed prior to Christmas will be honoured. So please don’t worry about your up coming bookings. However, bookings for Christmas this year will have to be cancelled.
If this concerns you, we will be in contact as soon as possible.

I do hope you understand, and I am truly sorry and apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.

I will miss looking after all your fur babies; everyone of them have their own unique personalities, just like humans. When you have so many personalities in one place together, it is so wonderful. You know what they are thinking and what they are going to do… or not do.
You learn what they love and dislike. It becomes a very personal relationship between you and them. I will miss their little natures, but I will also have wonderful memories of them all. Thank you my fur babies for spending time with us.

Hi everyone,
We have just got the NBN on, so we are no longer with Telstra. Our phone has been transferred to a new provider but we have no voice mail at the moment. Please try and ring during opening hours 8.3 am to 10 or 3pm to 5pm if possible, as you can't leave a message.
Hopefully I can sort it out soon thank you.
