I have a started female 10 months old. Going well on the sheep, has seen cattle a few times, has a good sit and walk in on the sheep and is showing signs of wanting to bite the nose. She has a good nature can jump into the back of a vehicle and buggy, great around kids. Reasonably priced PM me for details

We’re looking at running a working dog clinic on the 29th/30th of June. School will cover
*Basic obedience and manners around the pens
*Introduction to stock with pups
*Introduction to training with young dogs, right through to a fully trained dog ready to take to work.

Cost
$350 for handler position
$150 for fence sitters

BYO Breakfast and lunch/ drinks for Saturday night

Night meals provided for Friday/Saturday night.

School will be held at Stanford Park Bauhinia Central Qld
Start time Saturday morning will be 7am

War is tough in long grass. Trigger got jumped on pretty badly today and on closer inspection this afternoon he’s split his top gum straight down the middle (when I say he I mean the hunk of uneducated snot that got sent here for him to educate) of the vets in the morning 🤦‍♂️

WORKING DOG SCHOOL

We’ll be holding a working dog school at Stanford Park Moura on the 13th/14th of April

School Guidelines

The school will cover, pup starting, continuing on with training a young dog through to the fully trained dog.

Cost

Handler positions $350
Fence sitters $150
Cost includes smoko and night meals for the weekend starting with Friday night meal(cooking facilities available for BYO breakfast and lunch for both days), BYO alcohol & swag/camper van/ caravan.

That last section has some very important information in it.

The challenging dogs have taught
me most.
In addition to the nuance of their individual training, they’ve taught me to lose my ego and impatience.
They’ve helped me gain accountability, self awareness and trust.
Even though I’ve often missed their message the first time, they don’t give up on me.
Not every day feels like a win and things don’t often go as planned with a difficult dog.
But I have so much gratitude for what they’ve helped me to understand about connection; they've taught me to raise the expectation of my teaching, instead of my expectation of them.

We get asked thousands of questions about dog training and probably 90 percent of the answers are reflected back on the handler.
We as humans so badly want it to be something else that we sometimes allocate blame elsewhere.
But If we’re humble enough to look at ourselves, our mindset, our training, our commitment to continue to Learn, and be honest with ourselves, we’ll often find the answer.
