Do you know the signs of heat stroke in your animals ???
Do you have a plan on how to keep them cool this summer???
Signs of heat stroke you should look out for:
🌞Drooling
🌞Panting
🌞Difficulty breathing
🌞Lethargy
🌞Racing heart
🌞Vominting
🌞Diarrhea
Be mindful this hot season check your pets water regularly, make sure they have access to shade and don't walk them during the hottest parts of the day.

We just wanted to give everyone a quick update on some things that have changed in regards to micro-chipping and registering your pets.
The forms have changed for micro-chipping if you are wishing to Pre-print your micro-chipping forms before coming into clinic, please visit the pet registry website and click on the form's link.

In regards to registering your pet, now they must be registered by 12 weeks of age and a standard registration fee must be paid regardless of their de sexing status. If they are no registered you can end up with a fine.
If you are selling or buying an animal please ensure you have handled the Change of Owner forms. The seller is to submit the paperwork to council. After 14 you should have received conformation the pet has been transferred into your name.
Looking after your animals and ensuring they are micro-chipped and registered, helps to reunite you with lost pets if the details are kept up to date.

!!ALERT!! Snake Season in Full Swing! 🐍🐍🐍🚑

Hello Everyone!
Hope you are all enjoying the Spring sunshine and the warmer weather, a timely reminder nonetheless that snake season is in full swing! Since Friday evening CSVH have treated six cases for snake bite!

Sometimes snake’s will strike but not inject their venom (otherwise known as a “dry strike”), in all six of our cases the snake has injected its venom and each animal has become sick.

Snake envenomation is one of the true emergencies of veterinary practice, and animals will often die without treatment. Sadly, sometimes an animal may die despite receiving antivenine and intensive management.

As always, Prevention is better than Cure!

⭐️🐾⭐️🐾Back in November 2023 Badger came to us after an incident where he managed to break his jaw. He under went surgery to wire his jaw back together and with some love and care he has healed fantastically.
Badger came for a visit to have his yearly vaccinations and a check up he showed us how well behaved he is and how well he has healed !!! ⭐️⭐️

After only a few days of playing vet… it looks like Alby is already exhausted 😝 Happy Hump Day everyone! 🐾 🩺

If you have any travel to the coastal areas planned with you pets make sure they are up to date on flea and tick treatment. We have a great range in clinic so don't hesitate to drop in and get your pets up to date.

⭐️⭐️Miss Gigi been a little bit cheeky after her dental!!!
Gigi joined us today in clinic to have a dental as she had broken a few of her teeth. Once they where removed and the rest given a good clean she recovered great and enjoyed some outside time before heading home !!! 🐶🐾🦷⭐️
She was such a cheekie girl and such a sweet heart all at the same time !!!!
