As others have said - that's a wrap for the assessment tour for 2024!

A big thank you to overall organisers Trakehners Australia Inc and Assessor Matthias Alexander Werner and able assistant Mareike Winkler-Harth for another great classification in Victoria. The assessment provides great feedback to the breeders and helps them to keep going forward in the right direction in their breeding programs.

The 20 horses presented ranged from foals and young horses through to proven broodmares. The assessment phases included static, in hand and free movement and some horses were also free jumped. The quality was of an exceptional standard with horses receiving very high percentages.

Due to a tight schedule for Matthias, we were not able to tour outside of Victoria but hope to be able to do so for an extended tour next year.

Many thanks again to all involved. A couple of photos are included here of the two lovely mares presented by owner/breeder Rhonda Thomson at Harney Park. Horse free jumping is the Holsteiner mare Harney Park Columbian Girl (Somerset D'Isle/ Madame Butterfly), static is the Hanoverian mare; Harney Park China Girl (Conbrio/Madame Butterfly). Congratulations to Rhonda for achieving Premium status with both mares.
