Taking orders for a chaff run to Griffith for Thursday afternoon 10th August. We have Lucerne chaff, Wheaten chaff, Oaten Chaff, Teff chaff, combs - lucerne/Teff (40/60), 50/50. - Wheaten/Lucerne, Oaten/Lucerne. All rough cut which is far better for your horse as it allows them to chew and slows intake whilst producing saliva that helps to buffer the stomach from ulcers.

Did you know horses are designed to run on a full stomach? Feeding your horse 2-3L of chaff or a biscuit of hay prior to exercise will:

• Form a ball of feed in the stomach preventing the acid from splashing up from the lower part of the stomach that causes gastric ulcers.

Lucerne chaff or hay offers the best buffering capacity for stomach acid and is high in pectin which helps to line the stomach and can either offer relief to horses prone to gastric ulcers or protect the stomach from ulcers forming. Lucerne is also high in minerals such as calcium and magnesium which are alkaline and help neutralise stomach acid.

Simply feeding Lucerne as an additive in a scoop of chaff will also increase chlorophyll (green pigment) levels which is high in antioxidants, helping to reduce oxidative damage and balance the body’s pH during exercise and your horse’s daily activities.

Wow 2022 was a massive year for us. We took a little time out to party last night with our main Quality Assurance Manager still a little sleepy this morning.
Thanks again to everyone that supported us last year and looking forward to commencing deliveries to Griffith on Thursday 5th Jan for Griffith and Monday 9th Jan for Leeton. For other areas stay posted for updates.
