Peter Hardacre's smart sprinter Press Down is looking for a better result after two super efforts falling short among strong fields in the Adelaide Racing Carnival.

Press Down was only beaten by 1.4 lengths by eventual G1 Goodwood winner Benedetta in the G3 Irwin Stakes, and looks to get back in the winners column on Saturday at Murray Bridge.
