Hi Wonderful People!

I will be back in Murrumbateman/Canberra on the 14th and 15th of October for lessons. I still have one lesson spot available on the Saturday (at 4pm). FULL

I will also be travelling to Equestrian Park on the Sunday and have time to add a few more lessons on in the afternoon.

I will be trying to come back every month so if you have missed out this time and would like a lesson next time please let me know and I’ll add you to the next trip!

⭐️ Canford Calling ⭐️

Canford Calling aka Lux is a 9y/o OTTB gelding standing at 17hh. Lux is one of our personal horses and the plan wasn’t to sell him, however due to change in personal circumstances he is now looking for a new home.

Lux is an easy going and sweet natured horse with lots of bling and potential! Lux has had a proper let down since coming off the track and has now been in light work for the past few months. Lux is green but smart and willing to learn.

Lux has three lovely paces and is starting to understand contact. We have also done some basic trot poles and small jumps with him which he hasn’t had any problems with and he seemed to enjoy.

Lux would be an asset to any competent YR or adult wanting a project horse for the discipline of their choice. Lux will only be sold to a competent home.

Lux had clean X-rays retiring from the track.

We are so excited, yet sadden to announce, that we will be moving to Sydney. Brady and I have been given an amazing opportunity to develop ourselves as professionals in this field.

This opportunity is too good to turn down, so for right now, Apex Performance Horses will no longer be taking training or sales horses.

We would like to say a massive thank you to our amazing and loyal clients who have supported our small business over the years. We have been so lucky to work with so many amazing people and horses!

To our amazing lesson clients, we will be coming back once a month for weekend clinics, so please register your interest for those.

🪩 Le Provost Just Dance 🪩

Dancer is a 6y/o 14hh GRP x by Noble Dancer. Dancer may be small in size however brings big energy and presence to the arena. Dancer has three beautiful, balanced and expressive paces. Her Sire Noble Dancer is known to produce offspring with lovely temperament, trainability and beautiful movement, Dancer is just this.

Dancer is a trainable and willing young mare with a big future ahead of her. Established all Elementary Movements, green changes but they are there, halfpass in trot and canter and working pirouettes.

Dancer is the same out as she is at home. She has been to a few competitions up to novice and has recently competed in the FEI 6y/o Test at Dressage by the sea. She always receives good scores and comments from the judges.

Dancer has shown to be a great and keen little jumper schooling up to 1m single jumps and 75cm-80cm courses at home. She is brave and takes you to the jump. (Jump photos attached)

Dancer has done a little bit of XC schooling with us and has also gone out to a clear round day with one of our 12y/o students.

Dancer loves to go on trail rides as well and is very versatile little mare.

Dancer on the ground is sweet and curious. Although she has a beautiful nature she wouldn’t suit a novice kid due to her age.

We think Dancer would be best suited to a competent YR who wants to do a bit of everything!

Dancer has been ridden and trained since 4y/o by a YR. We believe Dancer has the potential to go all the way in the right hands. Only for sale as her owner has moved overseas.

Yesterday morning we lost a part of our family, the beautiful Spartan aka Spoodle. Spartan was the sales horse who never left. We all fell in love with him when Brad dropped him off to us. We were so blessed that our staff member and friend Isobel bought him, so he never left!

Spartan was funny, quirky and sweet. He was our built in alarm clock, calling out to tell us we were 5mins late to feed him, 5mins late to let him out into his big paddock or late to bring him back in for dinner!

We are devastated he has left us however we will remember all of the good times, out at competitions, rides at home or cuddles in the stable.

A massive thank you to our amazing community that made such a horrible morning a little less stressful. Especially Catherine Barrett, Cammy Gray, Indianna Ward,Tanya Hanley and especially Jason from Jasique Building & Earthworks for coming so last minute and being so lovely and respectful of our beautiful boy.

Rest in peace Spartan, you had so many people who loved you and we miss you 🤍🕊️

We had a very successful weekend away at Harden Horse Trials! Both boys behaving so incredibly well.

⭐️ Beauparc Charleston ⭐️

Charlie is a super cute 14.1hh 8y/o Welsh x gelding by Cherrington Damascus. Charlie boasts three balanced and correct paces and holds himself in a soft frame. Charlie has all of the characteristics to become a very competitive pony dressage mount.

Charlie is established Novice and training all Elementary movements. Established Leg yields, Walk to canters/canter to walk and has started Shoulder in and Travers. Charlie has also started learning flying changes. Charlie is a smart gelding who picks up new things in training with ease and is a pleasure to ride and train.

We have had multiple staff members ride Charlie and all find him heaps of fun!

Since Charlie being here with us we have used him for a few lessons and he’s been beautifully behaved and responsive for the YR’s.

On the ground Charlie has a funny and quirky personality. He has heaps of character and is always making people laugh. Charlie can be a little pushy on the ground again this is not a problem with a competent handler and if kept on top of.

We have taken Charlie out to a small show and he rode exactly the same as he does at home. Receiving plenty of complements and winning or placing in every class (Hunter and Welsh).

Charlie has now been to his first dressage show where we placed 3rd and 5th in the novice classes (1st place pony in both classes). 

While for sale Charlie will continue to be taken to more competitions and the price will increase with performances.

Charlie is registered with the Welsh Pony & Cob Stud Book and the Riding Pony Stud Book.

The beautiful Revelwood Small World at a Heath Ryan clinic last week. This beautiful mare has been a pleasure to train and have at our stables for training. We are surprised she hasn’t sold!

We love having this cheeky little guy in for groundwork. 8 months difference between the two photos, he’s so grown up!

Charlie Brown did lots of focus on picking up his feet and learning to stand. He is such a lovely little gelding and we can’t wait to see him develop in the future.
