Today, 14 years ago, we embarked on this adventure of running Murrumbateman Rural Supplies. Over the years, we have enjoyed being a part of the lives of young Murrumbateman kids, giving them their first jobs and watching them grow in confidence, going on to Architects, Doctors, Mechanics, Basketball players and maybe a Canberra Raider in the making plus many more.
We have watched babies grow into teenagers, and our community has become our lifelong friends.
In 2024, we opened The Rural Nursery to complement our Rural Shop and hopefully provide variety to Murrumbateman.
We have been sponsors for many great groups in the community and have loved watching them grow. And we feel the community has watched our family grow.

If you haven't met Erik yet, he is one of our storeman/delivery driver, and is now the keeper of our hardware section. Erik is very friendly and knowledgeable and potentially can order you in items we don't have on the shelf. Erik works Wednesday to Friday, so drop in, say Hi and chat to him about your hardware needs.

I'm working in the nursery today in this crapy weather. SO I'm shopping,
This is my purchase today. How cool are these? indoors, outdoors, pot, or garden. Now, I just need to pick a pot, so many to choose from. Did I mention I love my day a fortnight being left in our nursery

Echinacea double scoop bubble gum, pictures just don't do them justice. these guys love full sun, are great at attracting small birds and butterflys and are an amazing cut flower :D what more could you ask for???
