Hey all, 👋🏼

Just touching base. As I have had clients messaging me regarding to when I'm returning back to work.
I am missing working & seeing my wonderful clients! 🥰
Since Austin's birth it has been an emotional & challenging rollercoaster regarding his conditions with many appointments. He is well, growing & powering along which is great news.
Then there is me, since giving birth i have had postpartum high blood pressure & gall bladder attacks.
I recently had my gall bladder removed. 🙌🏼 Thankfully I'm not back at work yet but has set me back to return back to work as I can't lift anything over 5kg or do any strenuous activity for aleast 6 weeks.

🌟I am hoping to start back on Monday the 2nd of June 2025🌟

👉🏼Please take note:
💙 I will be NOT TAKING ON ANY NEW CLIENTS!
💜 I will be booking in my recurrence clients first.
💙 I will try my absolute best to book you in with my earliest appointments.
💜 I will be only working certain days. Full/Half days
💙 There will be a price increase.
💜 There may be some days I can't work due to Austin or myself with appointments.
💙 There will be a cancellation list.

I'm looking forward to see you & your pawsome dogs very soon. 🥰

Welcome to the world our darling boy 🌏
The best Christmas present 🫶🏼

🌻💙 Austin George Wagner
📅 Date: 19th of December 2024
⏰️Time: 7.37pm QLD / 8.37pm NSW
⚖️Weight: 2620g - 5.7 Pounds
📏Length: 49cm
🏥 Hospital: Mater Mothers' Hospital Brisbane Via Induction at 38 weeks + 4 Days - Vaginal Birth. Born 10 days early.

Austin has started his life a little different to most babies. After we had discovered that he has a heart condition in the last 3 of weeks of my pregnancy it was news no parent wants to hear. Going from a low risk to a high risk baby very quickly. These past couple of weeks have been an emotional & challenging rollercoaster.
Being separated from our newborn baby is so hard, it is something we will never be able to explain. We know he is in the right place with the best support team who see & care for conditions like this everyday. Each day is progress. All the Doctor's & Nurses are so lovely & wonderful.
Never did I think we would end up staying in the Ronald McDonald House and we are forever grateful these places do exist.

Tyronne has been my absolute rock. I love & appreciate you so much!!
Our families & close friends are being a huge support.

Austin, we know you are a strong warrior!
You are loved so much ❤️

👉🏼 TICKS ARE OUT & ABOUT 👈🏼

Make sure your dogs and cats are on tick prevention, it's saves a lot of money verses the cost if your pet needs treatment from a tick bite.

Protect your fur babies 🐾🐕🐶🐱🐈🐾

It is important to know the signs of tick paralysis in dogs so you can act quickly if you suspect your dog has been bitten.

→ Paralysis tick symptoms can include:

1. Loss of coordination in the hind legs (wobbly or not being able to get up) which may progress to paralysis
2. Change in bark
3. Retching, vomiting or loss of appetite
Coughing
4. Laboured or rapid breathing
If your dog shows any of these symptoms you should seek veterinary attention as soon as possible.

💙EXCITING NEWS!💜

As many of you know, if not, surpise!!
I'm expecting my first child due late December 2024.
I’ll be listening to my doctor, midwives and most importantly my body when it comes to slowing down and limiting my work load.
I have already slowly taking fewer appointments & fewer number of large/exlarge dogs.

I am hopefully going to groom up until the end of November with very limited appointments depending on how I feel, how I can handle bending, standing & the hot weather. Please do not get upset if I have to cancel your appointments.

I'll be taking my maternity leave from the 1st of December 2024.
As for my return date there is no set date, I’ll be back sometime in 2025 as I want to enjoy this special time with our child & this new journey called motherhood.

Please book in now for your dog's last couple of grooms to avoid disappointment.

🎉 Let's Celebrate - HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY Pets with Pawsonality!! 🎉

1️⃣0️⃣ Years in Business!!!

💜Where it all began...🐾✂️🐶
On the 18th of June 2014 - 10 years I graduated at the Victorian College of Dog Grooming and completed my 5 week course to attain my Certificate 3 in Professional Dog Grooming. After accomplishing such a life changing course, it made me finalise my career within the industry. I was so eager to start up my own business, which did happened "Pets with Pawsonality". It is truly amazing what you can achieve when you invest your time, money and passion into something you love and have a talent for. The support from my family was incredible I'm forever grateful.

💙So much has been achieved over the last 10 years since starting on the 9th of August 2014 at my home salon grooming & pet sitting.
In February 2015 i attained my Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing where i continued my work placement at Murwillumbah Vet Clinic as i was already volunteering there since February 2013. I now have my regular clientele of cats & dogs i groom which is fantastic.
In August 2016 i started grooming at Casuarina Seaside Vet thursday fortnightly i enjoyed every moment as it was challenging & always kept me on my feet. Then i finished up at the end of 2017.
I love that each vet clinic has welcomed me to be apart of there big family which is so wonderful & fun, i feel very privileged.

💜I have new clients phoning every week which is fabulous. Of course each week is different for me, I have my regulars & casuals which always keeps me busy. I also do just one off clients who are travelling through.

💙I started hosting monthly Home Grooming Course for owners to learn tips about how to maintain their dog’s long or short coat at home in between visits to your groomer. Which was very successful.

💜I have tried out new products which then i have introduced into my salon. I sell Dogi Deli Treats, Grooming Tools & Shampoo/Conditioner.

💙Each dog recieves a gift pack when they reach their 6th visit & a yearly gift pack giveaway is given as a way to say thank you to my clients for supporting my doggy business.

💜I offer a pick up & drop off service @ an extra fee depending on location - starting from $10.

💙From working at:
My home salon (10 years)
Murwillumbah Vet Clinic (11 years)
Casuarina Seaside Vet Clinic (1yr & 4mths 2016-2017)
I have groomed over 1000 dogs, over 100 cats, boarded over 100 dogs.

💜Thank you to all my wonderful clients & your doggies for supporting my business whether it be for grooming or pet sitting over the last 10 years. I feel very privileged for you letting me take care of your pets!!

WINTER TIPS!! ❄🐾✂️

Winter is here dog owners and here are few things to remember!
1. Coats still grow!!
2. Face, feet and hygiene areas still need to be tidied
3. Ears need cleaning
4. Nails need clipping
5. They still get dirty and need to be regularly bathed and brushed
6. If they wear jackets, their coats could tangle/matt

So remember, dogs still need grooming over the colder months! Please don't think they need their long hair over winter. They need well maintained coats over winter to stay warm and matt free!! Tangled matted hair provides no protection or warmth for the dog, just makes them uncomfortable.

Full Grooms are kept up over winter, as dogs are clipped with longer blades ( if mum and dad can maintain the coat in between Grooms 😊 ) Some clients like short clips, so their dog can wear jackets of a night time and don't have to highly maintain the coat between grooms.

Tidy ups every four weeks are great for winter to keep the coat maintained focusing on face, feet and hygiene areas.

Bath & Blow dry every two - four weeks is another way to keep your dog looking and feeling good with a nice warm bath and brush to keep the coat matt and knot free.

Feel free to talk to me as to what's the best option for your dogs coat over winter 🥰
