Spring is here and so too is allergy season! 🌻🌻
It can be a challenging time of year for our pets with allergic skin diseases.
Common signs of an itchy dog
🐕 Licking paws
🐕 Frequent scratching
🐕 Biting themselves, or chewing
🐕 Excessive rolling and rubbing their face or body parts on the carpet (see Neo in the video)
🐕 Red inflamed skin
🐕 Hair loss
🐕 Re-occurring ear problems
The itchy journey can be a little bit of trial and error.
When to bring your pet in?
If you notice your pet continuously scratching or affecting its normal behaviour like stopping play or interrupting their sleep then it is considered not normal.
When you bring your pet in, our team will determine the primary trigger and look for secondary infections.
Our goal is to work with you and your pet to create an individual treatment plan.

Meet Saphira who is a young Maine Coon.
Saphira came in for a free dental check as she doesn’t want to eat her wet food anymore but still loves her biscuits!
She had juvenile gingivitis, which is common in teething kittens.
Some Oxyfresh in her water will help reduce inflammation, and some chunky meat treats like thick-cut raw steak or chicken can help while she’s growing her adult teeth! 🦷🦷
She thought the sink was much more fun to play in than all the boring dental talk!
Maine Coons certainly love the water!
