Anyone else have their baggage packed as a youngster?
We had a nasty Sussex rooster that used to ambush me every time I went to collect eggs as a child and I used a plastic bin lid as a shield. He picked on the wrong person one day, my dad. Heard a mighty commotion at the coop and around the corner this rooster zoomed with dad right on his tail feathers. The rooster pulled away but dad hooked a broom at him like an Olympian javelin thrower, Brook-ark! Dad traded the rooster in for a nice Rhode Island Red Rooster the next day, yes warned the new owners, but we definitely got the better end of the deal!

Going to have to cancel Animal Feeding 🚫 this weekend as well. Still raining cats and dogs!

Camels have reminded me that they don’t like this wet stuff but their shelter is only a couple of meters away. Can lead a camel to shelter but that doesn’t mean they have the brains to stay in there! Lucky they are cute.

I’ve been a little slack with posting lately but wow it’s been busy on the farm. Shelter building, all of the chicken pens now have roofing, mowing, slashing, landscaping 😮‍💨 but it’s a great improvement.

This little kid was brought to us as his mum unfortunately passed. He is 4 days old and such a good doer latched straight onto the bottle, unlike a little black lamb we know 🤣.
